Pretty strong rumours that Andy has secured the Imperial for his next crack at making Cinders “happen”.

More seats than the Gillian Lynne, with a proscenium.
2023 will be the 100th birthday of the Imperial Theater. The Shuberts probably wanted to celebrate the milestone with an award winning production from the other side of the pond...

It’s dark at the moment. Maybe they’re installing a revolve for a stunning, reimagined version? They’re going to have to do something big to get this turkey off the ground and flying! 🦃

A flying turkey might liven up the show...
Unless there is a fundamental rewrite of the book and a lot of new music, this will always be a flop.
It is the first ALW score I haven't finished playing through at least once.
I have listened to Stephen Ward more than Cinderella.

Would be absolutely hysterical if this did transfer.

As I said to a friend - there's about a third of a good show in there. I found it entertaining enough, but I wouldn't have paid full price. If Lloyd-Webber could bring himself to rework it, and could make up his mind about what kind of show it wants to be and which audience he wants for it, it might work. But taking it to Broadway in its current form seems short-sighted at best.

Flying turkey is so last year (and the year before, and the year before...) Old Vic have cornered the flying turkey gimmick.

Was just reading a thread on BroadwayWorld about Adele now only being a Tony away from EGOT and someone was claiming she was offered a role in Cinderella on Broadway but almost certainly declined. As if anyone that famous and highly respected in general would want their name on this! No idea what role they could possibly see her in either. The same person also said that Jennifer Simard (Sarah in the Broadway transfer of Company most recently) was in the middle of callbacks for a role, it has to be the stepmother and she would be fabulous to be honest, she’s very funny. If any of this is true it looks like they are still trying to get this off the ground in the not too distant future.

If the Imperial is being refurbished in readiness for Cinders, would it be fair to say when it opens it will be a “mint Imperial”?
I’ll get my coat…😐

I just left the press event outside the theater. I expected a little more from it - a song, maybe? But curious if Webber is making any changes to this, beyond the title.

Tight preview preview. AlW must be extremely confident that the writing is in tiptop shape.

Lloyd Webber added, “I am thrilled and delighted that we are bringing Bad Cinderella to the Imperial Theatre. We have been working hard on a few new songs for our Broadway opening and, with such brilliant team, led by the spectacular Linedy, I know this is going to be really special.”

Haven’t we all been suggesting it should've been called Bad Cinderella since day 1?

Linedy Genao is set to the new Cinderella, I thought that CHF was going to go over and open the show. Guess we won't get the drama of one of her fans freaking out at the stage door when she doesn't come out.
Did anybody noticed that the first preview date is one day before Phantom closes?

I see the shade by ‘critics’ has started already. How very classy of the ‘former star’ to like this tweet.

Stunned that Laurence Connor is still the director.

Shame she can't support the new Cinderella, whatever her personal experience was. She hasn’t done anything unsupportive of the Broadway production. I believe the only things she has liked are things to do with her own experience and the London production. There is nothing in her likes over the past few weeks that mentions Cinderella and certainly nothing that shows she isn’t supportive of the Broadway Cinderella.

Not keen on the rewrite of the title song - it was one of the ones I actually liked, and it sounds totally, completely fake and synthesised. Not promising!
