Fleur had the best show dance. It felt like a proper piece of choreo.
Molly did nothing to impress in terms of performance or engagement. She might have done well technically but there was no spark.
Helen was doing steps and moves but too frequently it was just that with not enough dancing. You could see all the working parts but it didn't all coalesce.
Hamza came as close as he could to throwing the final. None of his efforts matched his earlier performances. But he had banked enough goodwill to win regardless.
Fleur was the best on the night. But there was nothing anyone could do to overturn the favourite.
Personally I would drop the show dance. They just seem to fall slightly short of expectations.
Perhaps we could see a Lindy Hop challenge instead. Just to shake things up.
And they could open up a public vote for obe of the dances. Take away the judges choice and let the public choose.
It is time for a refresh

Agreed. Show dance always a nothing recently. In the olden days it was something because the regular dances were more traditional. Now with the stuff they put out there, like Fleur’s Beyoncé effort, there is nowhere to go with the show dance. It would be very cumbersome for the viewers to vote for choice of which dances they do but maybe, get them to do their best score and their worst so we can see improvement and also the best dances again. And why four in the final? Go back to three or even two and add more dances! Less of the backstories please.

There was a lovely symmetry to the final, which began with our david's theme song, and ended with mine. Seeing Claudia in BurlyBeaR's new cape was worth the cost of the licence fee alone. Apart from Tony Adams, everyone this year was eliminated in just about the right order. My Mr Kipling friend will be pleased, but based purely on how they danced on the night, Fleur and Vito should have probably won.
