Jay Blades would be another Repair Shop option especially as he did the Xmas Special.
They tend to have a blueprint of what they want the line up to be diversity wise it doesn't have to be the same every year but you can usually guess which boxes will be ticked.
The last couple of years they have moved away from "older contestants" only having people up to about 60. So if things do get/stay at the new normal hopefully we get a couple of "golden oldies" it will be interesting to see if the have a same gender couple again and if so which pro would be their partner.
Personally I'd like to see one of the top Drag Acts appear and be "in character" as that dynamic hasn't been done before and it allows the possible option of them to then appear out of character one week if they wanted to as that would give it another twist.

First time going to the tour - an enjoyable show, though perhaps a bit flat in the cavernous o2. A decent go at the “best of” the last series and group dances. I guess I’d liked to have seen more “bells and whistles” having been to big concerts at the o2, but as a touring show this probably isn’t possible.
I agree that Maisie/Kai and Rhys/Nancy were excellent too. The banter/judging was more pantomime. I’m not sure I’d go again, but it was a nice family outing for all ages.
I hadn’t realised how popular Aljaz is with the ladies (even though this is referred to on TV), and Janette was actually a very good host.
At the show I went to there was a four way tie (60/60) for Rose, John, Maisie and Rhys. Max was last - Craig only gave him 3 for his first dance, and Max took his shirt off at the judging for Craig’s benefit…

I've just watched Shakespeare and Hathaway — a couple of Strictly alumni (and Ruthie Henshall) in the second episode of the series set at a ballroom school.

I don't know who announced it first, but Oti won't be returning as a contestant this autumn...just as I predicted some months ago. 😉

Not a surprise Oti has gone now she has DOI gig, also has presented One Show and was a mentor/judge on the Greatest Dancer plus has her own tour coming up. The DOI money likely eclipses what she made on Strictly too.
There were strong rumours she was going to leave after she won in 2019 and then again when she won in 2020 as she was getting other offers then. It might have only been due to the pandemic that she stayed on as all the live shows were cancelled.
Others such as Kevin from Grimsby, AJ have also moved on so no huge surprise Oti has gone as she clearly has a lot of options.

If they are going to keep Motsi as a judge, it is best for the show that Oti is no longer a participant.

If they are going to keep Motsi as a judge, it is best for the show that Oti is no longer a participant. That has made no difference whatsoever over the past 3 years. Oti leaving was inevitable, she's hugely popular and can clearly make more money and get better opportunities elsewhere. She'll be sorely missed by the show, she was the best of the current crop of professional dancers.

Yeah huge loss for the show but inevitable with all her other work.
Her sister being a judge is irrelevant.

Oti is also doing more choreography as well as presenting. So no surprise. But she will be missed.

I wonder if Strictly will look for another black female dancer to replace her or just promote one of the group dancers to have a partner next series?
Apparently there is another Mabuse sister who is also a dancer so could she be an option but then you are back to the Oti/Motsi pro/judge being sisters dynamic.

Not surprised - he seemed to have checked out from the show mentally about 3 or 4 years ago and had settled into the Anton-esque gentler veteran pro role.
I suspect Giovanni and Karen won't be far behind.

Aljaz is only 32 and we assume Janette would want to carry on hosting the spin off show. That was a better gig for her to get and with her being in her late 30's I did wonder if she wanted to start a family sooner rather than later.
Aljaz will be a big miss as I think when Anton went onto judging panel he was longest serving male Pro.
There is talk about whether the Russian dancers may return too.
I guess Cameron Lombard who was just a showdance pro can step in or no doubt they have others who they could add to line up.
I see Oti has a new dating type show on ITV so is going great guns. Also I read Neil Jones guest hosted the CBBC Saturday Morning show a few weeks ago too!

Owain Wyn Evans- just a suggestion, but I'm putting it out there.
He seems to be everywhere at the moment and he's up for doing a reality television show.
Again, just a thought and a suggestion.

I'm sure she's lovely, and I know she's had problems, but hasn't Kym Marsh previously withdrawn from a couple of things?

I appreciate that the dates that they release the names of the celebrities, and the order it which they're release publicly is all scheduled and planned months in advance but it's interesting that they're doing so when The One Show- always heavily involved in the promotion of the show, the dancing professionals and the celebrities- is off the air for its summer break.
As soon as I read Will Mellor I thought to myself 'hang on here. He was actually on The One Show a couple of months back with Raph Little" As he was in the BBC Studios, maybe that when he signed the deal?
Just a thought...
