Longish gap between Overtures closing and Sail's opening. Hopefully they'll use the time to make the FOH space more appealing

Weren't they going to do The Bakers Wife this summer? Yup, that had been announced but then went very very quiet.

Job advents gone out suggesting a May/June run of Jerry's Girls for the Menier. Surely they need biggish names to sell a revue? Thinking of names who have done Herman shows: Janie Dee, Samantha Spiro, Anna Jane Casey, Tracie Bennett, Caroline O'Connor... anyone think of any more?

Could they not do Baker's Wife from June to August? I keep a list of "upcoming" shows to book and I had Baker's Wife down as early July to early September. I cant remember now if I got the dates from a Menier post or from this Board!

I cant remember now if I got the dates from a Menier post or from this Board! Interesting! I do exactly the same and I had Baker's Wife opening 05 July but now I cannot find a single reference to that anywhere.

A quick search suggests Stephen Schwartz was talking about it last September. I don't think the Menier tend to list future shows in the way that, say, the National might though?

Weren't rewrites planned? I suspect Schwartz is presently caught up in Chenoworth and Versailles.
