Enjoyed the first episode, thought the right person won and the bottom two and eventual 1st leaver were the right choice too, which for this show is not always the case. I always find the first few episodes difficult to pick out a favourite (except Season 6 of course), there's just too many contestants to get much airtime for each. As others have said, Silky was just plain annoying and I can't wait to see the back of him if that's going to be what he's constantly like. There are rumours of unprofessionalism and sexual harassment on Twitter, take with a pinch of salt but the way he was with Miley Cyrus was uncomfortable.
I'm in two minds about Miss Vanjie, I don't dislike him but really struggle to understand half of what he says, his diction is appalling.

Well I enjoyed that episode. I would love to have seen more of the filming of the main challenge - just to get a clearer sense of what is achieved in the editing. We get to see so little of it, it is hard to understand how well or otherwise the girls are doing.
Some unusual runway choices - but it is clear who the most creative queens are in their ability to develop something from a theme and make it special.
Another acting challenge next week - more variety would be nice in the structure of the season. Acting should be followed by dance or music or something - but acting/comedy followed by acting/comedy - just a bit dull.
Untucked does get a bit heated...

Really loved episode 2. Yvie is definitely my current favourite. This seems like a return to form but I said that at the beginning of AS4 and that lost its way for the last few episodes as did season 10. Hopefully the challenges keep up the quality.

That was a great episode. Often these parodies/acting challenges have awful scrips & are just awkward to watch, but these ones were genuinely funny. Yvie & Plastique were the true standouts for me. Shuga’s performance was totally underrated. I loved Yvie calling out the other team queens on their two-facedness about Silky; totally agree, if you’ve got a problem with someone, say it to their face & own it.

I am not so impressed by Plastique - her three main looks so far have been a leotard with some additions - not really that creative. Compare her to Brooke who has delivered three complete looks - creative and different.
Yvie did have a good week - and whilst she was right to call out the queens, I got a sense that she was also rather enjoying stirring the drama pot. Rajah didn't come out of that well.

Whats with all these queens wearing glasses with no lens' in them??
I thought the lip synch was great and although there were a few missed beats, one of the most exciting ones in a while.
And the X Factor style sob stories in the judging need to stop. First we had a cyst, then we had a stroke.... they're not needed if you're good enough.

There are so many queens who are not seizing their opportunity. Trying to coast through with mediocrity.
I would have kicked at least 3 out of them out after last night (and not just from the losing team)

I thought this episode was great, despite the Mariah team completely failing in their task. I thought every bit of the Brittany show was hilarious and Nina deserved her win.
Mercedes can't last much longer as she was carried by the rest of her team.
Oh, and Guillermo Diaz is kinda hot.

Loved the episode, mainly for the 1st team’s evangelising in the maxi (less said about the 2nd team’s the better!), although throughout I had the hilarious “You can’t pray the gay away” in my head:
Adored Yvie’s jellyfish “fringe”: fabulous. Now Nina West is my fave of the season so far, but I am warming to Vanjie...kind of....well, it comes and goes in equal measures!
Was fun having so many lip-synching, but I would also have sent a few away who haven’t really made their mark: a shame given this opportunity they have, although I get how nerves, pressure etc can play a big part.

I’m enjoying Miss Vanjie’s ability to turn her 15 minutes of fame into something meaningful. Compare her to Jasmine Masters on AS4.
I enjoyed Evie’s runway, although I didn’t love her face. I want Nina West’s entire look.
I’m excited that this season is shaping up to be won by someone a bit different, not just another baby fashion queen.

Can't say I agree with the winner of this week's episode - I don't think she was the stand out of the bunch. But the standard was higher than I expected overall
The big shock was which previous queen was cast as Trump in the Rusical. I really couldn't work it out - and still can't just by looking at her.
Untucked - I skipped quite a lot of it - just rehashing old ground over and over gets dull. Good for Scarlet for refusing to buy into Yvie's stirring.

I quite enjoyed this week. That’s the first maxi challenge I haven’t fast forwarded through I think.
Silky Ganache as Oprah though.... GENIUS.
Shades of Milk in Yvie Oddly’s runway, I loved it though.

Genuine question, related to theatre actually, all the footage of them doling out the parts for the musical - is that all fake? Cos presumably they need to have the right costumes, wigs etc ready. That magnificent Oprah get-up was definitely specifically sized for Silky.

I know I am completely missing the point of her drag, but it irks me.

The highlight for me was Yannis Marshall throwing some real shade at Ra'Jah, over her 'dance background' She was bigging herself up and then really couldn't deliver what she promised, especially when there is a proper classically trained ballet dancer next to you.
Interesting that most of the choreography he taught them wasn't in the finished product. Was it all done for show?
Silky didn't deserve the win, though she would be a fool not to include Oprah into her stage act.She definitely looked like her. I feel Nina West is finally coming through and i thought her Sarah Huckabee was excellent.
Neither Tiffany Pollard or Joel McHale were as funny as they thought they were.
Ra'Jah to go next week.

That magnificent Oprah get-up was definitely specifically sized for Silky. The dishing out of the parts is real, the costumes are all made after parts are given out. The challenge from rehearsal to 'main stage performance' takes a couple of days so they can get the costumes re-sized fairly quickly. Since the move to VH1, their budget is massive.

I wasn’t paying a huge amount of attention (I thought the musical was dreadful) but when I looked up I thought Silky was Oprah for a second. It was a pretty amazing facial transformation, makes me wonder what she might be able to turn out for Snatch Game.
Brooke Lynn Heights dancing was the best. Made my loins dance for sure.

Why is Plastique Tiara slipping under the radar? There is no story on her, virtually no confessional, she’s excelled at nothing but getting a free pass.
Is there a big, juicy storyline waiting to emerge with Plastique toexplain why on earth she’s being kept in? Or is she just lucky that there have been worse queens... so far.
She’s going to have to step up her pu game to stay in I think.

Plastique is basically wearing a leotard with additions for every runway. But is middle of the pack and so not getting a critique. She is clearly pretty. But pretty isn't enough.
She did better in the Rusical than I expected - but she isn't a top 4 candidate in my opinion and will go once the more obviously weaker queens are gone (and they are still a couple who really are just a waste of space left to go)

Turns out that Plastique's dress (without the wings on the back) is identical to one that Valentina wore for the press work on AS4... I guess there are only a limited number of drag designers - but even so they could have worked out that people might spot these things!

If they pull it off and make it their own and it fits the theme then what's the problem? They don't make a lot of money especially if they're new up and coming queens so they have to get outfits wherever they can do if they borrow an outfit or use one they've already owned why ridicule them for it?
