Bianca has also played the Emcee in Cabaret.

What I meant, was that are there any roles in musicals you could see any Rupaul queens starring in? I think it would be good casting, just like a Michelle in Jamie, as lots of theatre goers probably watch Drag Race too

I want a see Ginger Minj, Bianca Del Rio and Jinkz Monsoon as the three strippers in Gypsy. Ginger as Tessie Tura, Bianca as Mazeppa and Jinkz as Electra.

Anyone else excited for the Christmas Special?
But back to the discussion regarding Drag Race Queens in stage roles - I would love to see Roy (Bianca) play Arnold in Torch Song Trilogy. Not a musical - I know - but he could play it.

Ooooh. Kim Chi. Brilliant.
I wonder if the winner will be entered into the Hall of Fame? Probably Ru’s last chance to get Shangela in there.

It is only a one off show - so it would seem unfair to put someone into the Hall of Fame.
But they will be a winner baby
I was hoping for Ginger to be in it - as she is one of my faves.

Not sure if it’s worth making a new thread or not but Michelle’s casting in Jamie got me thinking about whether any other Ru girls would maybe one day do a musical? There aren’t a huge amount of roles available for drag queens but I can certainly see someone like Ginjer Minj as Edna in Hairspray. I’m surprised a Ru girl like Shangela never played Lola at any point Peppermint is currently in a Broadway musical called Head Over Heels

Fantastic to see that Netflix have now returned the six seasons of Drag Race which were previously taken off. Currently ru-watching Shade: the Rusical!

The queen reveal is due to go live in ten minutes, with the theme for the promo being “colour blocking”. 14 contestants in total (unless we get another Shangela box popping moment) with plenty of rumours across the internet including more drag family members of previous queens. Never mind All Stars, this is the one I’m looking forward to. Edit to include promo including the fifteenth queen: http://instagram.com/p/BtByr1mh8Tw

Hate to sound negative but that was a seriously uninteresting group of queens.
The only ones that caught my eye were Vangie, Plastique (wow she’s beautiful), Brooklyn Hytes and Silky Ganache. Can we just crown Silky already- she’s so much fun! Overall, I was much more excited by the season 10 crop of queens :/

Going from the promo videos alone Silky is my winner, without question. I’m also loving the look of Honey Davenport, Brooke Lynne Hytes, Plastique Tiara, Shuga Cain and Yvie Oddly. I’m familiar with Soju from her review videos but I’m not all that convinced yet that she’s got what it takes. I think it’s definitely going to be an interesting season.
Those Bandersnatch style activities just remind me how undeserving of last year’s win Aquaria was. As soon as we lost MXC and Cracker it was a no horse race for me.

I tried watching the launch event. And just ended up skipping through it. It was amateur. So amateur.
This season was filmed before AS4. And so they have had plenty of time to prepare and we got 2 hours of dross.
My fave from the pre-announced line up was Nina West but she didn't shine in this.

Jesus that was painful to watch even fast forwarding. Adam may be cute but not a natural presenter and Aquaria, yawn.
What stuck out for me is how much these queens are all starting to look alike, or more so like previous queens. I don't think I saw anything inspiring or innovative.
Milky Ganache I know I'm gonna love once she doesn't get to loud, I was excited for Miss Vanje but gurl needs some Kalms or rescue remedy.
Overall a terrible RuVeal and after a sh*t All Stars 4 thus far they need to go big or go home.

I think it might be a mistake to have so many drag daughters/grand-daughters of previous contestants in the same season. It does mean we will get a certain lack of drag diversity. I will reserve judgement until we see them in action (outside of the awful launch)
Perhaps the producers need to cast their net wider - or the drag community in the US is actually very small and the talent pool too incestuous..

Thought I'd bump this up by saying that it launches on 28th February and there's now a trailer showing a few short clips of episode 1.
Also, Miley Cyrus is the special guest on episode 1. A slight step down from Lady Gaga and Xtina...

First 15 minutes of the new season have been released -
Some strong personalities there... I expect a lot of (fake) drama

I agree with Silky, she's oozes charisma and I have a feeling will do well. I like Yvie Oddly as well, probably because I loved Sharon Needles and they share the creepy vibe. I have high hopes for Nina West who apparently is the pinnacle of drag where she comes from and is extremely talented. Scarlett Envy I think will be another Tammie Brown, weird and quirky but won't last long.

Really enjoyed the first episode, it felt a little more like an old school Drag Race episode but maybe that was just by virtue of the challenges and me being used to the All Stars format. Only bit I wasn't a fan of was the son stories of the bottom three queens since it seemed like a lot of context had to be cut in the conversation in order to squeeze them in so it was very jarring and pretty unnecessary either way. Also, I was surprised how annoying Silky was but I'm gonna give her the benefit of the doubt and hope it was just for the first episode as she wanted to make an impression in case she went home.

Silky was insufferable. I really hope she either calms down or goes soon.
I wish they had shown more of them creating their looks for the challenge. Did Brook Lyn really create that catsuit in the workroom?? It was very impressive.
