I've never been a fan of Dan, but what struck me this week was how much he talked and how little Nadiya spoke. She barely said a word in the pre-dance VT, just listened to Dan mansplaining what football is. Even when Claudia tried to involve her in the post-result chat on Sunday Dan spoke over her (saying how much she talked!). Very odd. He goes on and on, perfectly fluently but he hasn’t got the memo has he? He should defer to Nadiya and shut up a bit.

If you believe the reports this week, he is well ahead in terms of public votes. Yeah never underestimate how popular McFly and Tom Fletcher are. He also has the biggest following on social media by a considerable amount compared to the other contestants which counts for a lot now a days particularly when you don’t have to pay to vote anymore. Just get your fan base to vote even if they don’t watch the show.

If you don't watch the show, you shouldn't be able to vote. You're not that big a fan if you can't be bothered to tune in and actually watch them dance.

It is a little unclear to me how there could be something untoward going on at the BBC in terms of the voting system.
In one of the UK's most watched, feel good family entertainment show.
If there were and it were to (ever) come out, it'd kill the show dead on its feet and make a mockery not only of the dancers, judges, and the shows format.
Don't forget nearly every country on the world has their own version of this show, basically following the same format.
Additionally, the BBC would have to be transparent in the event of a Freedom of Information (FOI) or Subject Access request.

Sara v Tilly in the Dance Off
Rumoured that Sara was saved

I believe that all ‘voting’ shows are independently audited and monitored. Whether that is just the ‘phone/costs money’ element I don’t know? I imagine it would be super easy for the bbc to manipulate online voting if they wanted to. But doing it to save Dan Walker is a risk I certainly wouldn’t take! 😂😂😂

Sara v Tilly in the Dance Off Rumoured that Sara was saved Dan is still in?!!! He is sooooo full of himself. His self indulgent bloody speech last night about “what Strictly is for” when you could see Claudia desperately wanting him to shut up. The ridiculous hand gestures he does at the end of the show when all the couples are standing on the dance floor. Urgh! Am so sick of him.

I loved Rose and Giovanni’s dance - but I can see why Craig didn’t give it a ten. I wish they scored separately for technical difficulty and artistic impression because Craig just ended up looking a bit churlish. It was a proper ‘moment’ (Even more than John’s arms in a vest in rehearsal every week.)
Cannot believe AJ was scored at the bottom.
Why do Dan and Nadiya do that stupid hand dance at the end of every show?

Sara going is a big shame. It was going to happen in the next 3 weeks. But still a shame. The choice of music really did not help. It had no AT feel to it.
I was not surprised at how low AJ scored. She had no Spanish shape. She was ungainly going backwards. And the frock was hideous. The choreo was not strong. Kai's lack of Strictly experience showed this week.

They need to look back on choices of dress. Dull frocks don't get votes. Anything a bit odd doesn’t get votes. I find that blue/green doesn’t come over on the telly box to me. Just me? And music that is set against a trad expectation doesn’t work either. i suppose I’m making it a game but sometimes it is.

He probably has quite a fan base from breakfast tv. He certainly isn't the best dancer, but probably comes across as one of the non performers who is trying his best. Sure he will be out soon.

I think the appeal of Dan Walker is that even though he's on TV and earns lots of £££s, he's perceived as just an ordinary bloke...which he largely is.
He lives in an ordinary suburb in an ordinary city; goes on ordinary dog walks in an ordinary park; has ordinary friends; goes on ordinary holidays in East Yorkshire; eats in ordinary restaurants...all shared with his ordinary followers on social media.

What time do they film Strictly? Anyone else get the Sara text at 4pm Saturday? What do you mean what time do they film it? It's live (though I presume on a 5-10 second delay just in case), and the results show is recorded on a Saturday after the vote closes. Most of the pro dances were recorded in the summer though.

They film Sunday's on Saturday night so lots of people know by Sunday morning. I try (and fail) not to look it up each week.

If it was 4pm Sunday that's different as the result is usually known online by Sunday morning.
