I have an iphone, so my settings are set to not auto-update, but I did update the app manually last night as it came up and didn't mention this pretty significant change. So for an iPhone, if you go into settings for the app store, you can switch off auto update. I don't know how it works on Android I'm afraid. I cannot find this feature on my android

Today Tix have for form this kind of thing. Remember when they cancelled their member code offer because people were using it?

I just had a look at Prince of Egypt, and it is only telling me stalls tickets, with no button to click for further information.
I'd be interested to know if the confirmation email tells you the seats?
The only benefit of this I can think of is if they decide the seats later on in the day and give you the best available, rather than the system now where you have to go for what's available and then might regret it if something better comes along when they release more tickets later in the day.

I've just done a random check for 2 shows and both gave me a seat number.

I'm on iOS, my apps automatically update and Rush is no longer showing me seat info - it just goes straight to checkout. 😭

What a ridiculous change for them to have made. I have always found TodayTix incredibly unhelpful toward accessibility issues and this is a further step away from solving them. They will lose a lot of custom due to this. I am glad some theatres have started running their own online “rush” through their own websites in which you can choose the seat or you are provided the seat selection - hopefully more will go down this route.

I’ve just checked on the rush shows today and if it’s end of row or a restricted view seat the show the seat number it seems. That was for only for Tina and Mamma Mia.

Hope this means they’re onto it. Seriously. Are they expecting people to think that was an accident? What a crock of 💩

Well, I don’t fall for it being a mistake for sure. Perhaps they’ve already had a slow sales day today with the Rush and are looking at reverting it back.

Definitely not an accident!
The fact rush tickets have been available all day for some very popular shows indicates that people aren't willing to buy without knowing what seat they're going to get.
It was a very poor commercial decision by TodayTix.
Saying you have a ticket in "the stalls" could mean you're near the front or you have horrible restricted view corner. It's just not on.
The fact the technology is terrible and can't support the number of people logging in at 10am is another issue. That could easily be solved. A quick fix would just be to stagger the times each different show goes on sale.

I bought two pairs of rush tickets for Prince Of Egypt on two different devices (Apple and Android) and managed to bag 4 consecutive seats in row C stalls, all of which showed on both devices prior to purchase with the latest version of the app running.

A quick fix would just be to stagger the times each different show goes on sale. I've stopped trying for rush tickets at 10am . The only time I got one then, I couldn't complete the purchase. I don't think many pairs of tickets for popular shows get added later in the day but single seats definitely do. Today there were circle and stalls tickets available for Tina every time I checked and I would have bought one if I had known and been happy with the location but no way will I buy blind.

Hope this means they’re onto it. “Hi Friends” Arghh This was not a technical error at all. I noticed & Juliet still had rush tickets available late afternoon and normally they’re gone by midday. Definitely think they saw a drop in sales. Hopefully they can “fix” it quickly.

When I looked yesterday Rush tickets were available for most shows. Definitely a commercial decision to revert! Why lie?!

Sounds like a screeching u-turn.
I messaged them directly to complain and they’ve responded saying ‘we hope to have things back to normal soon’.

Tickets still available as of 12.45pm for tonight’s Come From Away. I appreciate it’s a Tuesday but to be able to get a pair of stalls tickets this far past 10am is fairly unusual… chances are they’re good, but with no seat info beyond ‘stalls’ I won’t be chancing it!

Yes, it's showing me the exact seats it's offering Now Dress Circle row F seat 3 for a single. Flashed up some stalls tickets for a pair, but now it's back to showing me DC for that too

I'm not sure why people have the knives out for Today Tix and calling them liars. Myself and several other board members have said on here that when we checked shows they were giving specific seat numbers. If they had changed policy then no one would be getting seat numbers which is not the case so maybe give them the benefit of the doubt.

I've no axe to grind against Today Tix, quite the reverse. Nothing better than having an empty day and grabbing a decent seat for a bargain price. In recent months I secured three visits to Hairspray all in great seats @ £25 which originally cost £150 and only last Thursday I got a row B stalls seat for the Bob Marley musical Get Up Stand Up in the afternoon
I tried two shows today and in neither case was I offered a specific seat. Maybe the system is being returned to revealing seat numbers one show at a time ?

I'm on Android and I've just tried 3 shows, it gave me specific seat numbers for all of them.

I’m still just getting ‘Stalls ticket’ etc. Might try rebooting my phone and seeing if that makes a difference.
