If it helps, it's offering me Stalls N 4 for a single ticket, and dress circle E 4 & 5 for a pair. Are you saying that TodayTix is offering you specific seats ? I'm still getting just "stalls". Yes, it's showing me the exact seats it's offering Now Dress Circle row F seat 3 for a single. Flashed up some stalls tickets for a pair, but now it's back to showing me DC for that too

I'm not sure why people have the knives out for Today Tix and calling them liars. Myself and several other board members have said on here that when we checked shows they were giving specific seat numbers. If they had changed policy then no one would be getting seat numbers which is not the case so maybe give them the benefit of the doubt.

I've no axe to grind against Today Tix, quite the reverse. Nothing better than having an empty day and grabbing a decent seat for a bargain price. In recent months I secured three visits to Hairspray all in great seats @ £25 which originally cost £150 and only last Thursday I got a row B stalls seat for the Bob Marley musical Get Up Stand Up in the afternoon
I tried two shows today and in neither case was I offered a specific seat. Maybe the system is being returned to revealing seat numbers one show at a time ?

I'm on Android and I've just tried 3 shows, it gave me specific seat numbers for all of them.

I’m still just getting ‘Stalls ticket’ etc. Might try rebooting my phone and seeing if that makes a difference.

Does seem to be a possibility that it’s fine in Android (showing specific seats) but not in iOS (just showing part of house), purely based on posts on here - so perhaps it’s a glitch with the app update?

Gives the definition that beggars can’t be choosers.

You’re not wrong. It’s meant to be a clearing house at the end of the day, not a God given right. As much as I enjoy a cheap ticket, I never assume. It’s just annoying that they have (however inadvertently) takdn away the element of choice.

Because you so happen to get a ticket at a vast advantageous rate, for tickets that in all likelihood TodayTix and the Producers wouldn’t have been able to sell and would be therefore unsold, shouldn’t devalue the purchaser of being a valid customer and are definitely NOT a second class citizen. I believe the person who buys a discounted ticket pays the same ticket fee to the agency as someone who is buying at full price.
The person buying at reduced rate, is/should be just as much be a valued customer as someone buying at full rate. The theatre ecosystem needs both to survive. The person who goes to the theatre many times at a reduced rate to someone who may go once a year at full price, are as beneficial to the industry and should be respected as much so.

But also I think the phenomenon itself has increased ticket sales and become a ‘thing’. The competition for rush tickets is massive now, leading to the canny youngsters working out its algorithms and hacks to get advantages. Whilst something must have done it before, I think that ‘Rent’ has a role to play here, with it’s front row for £10 seats. This gave them a queue outside the theatre…the best advertising there is…for every performance and a rapt audience in the front row.

Looks like it’s been sorted now if you update the app.
If you go to the App Store and find TodayTix and click update this should bring back seats numbers.

Glad to see seat numbers are back. I had lost them but as of today they are back, hopefully they won’t try to remove them again
