Thank you so much. Was hoping that without the stunt casting of Les Mis that stall seats would appear :-( I've seen Dress Circle seats, but I don't think I've ever seen Stalls.

I've looked a lot for Les Mis, mostly out of nosiness. It usually seems to be from row F backwards of the dress circle, and then some in the upper. I've never seen stalls pop up.

Is Joseph on Rush? Might try next weekend when it reopens Nope, not at the moment. Dynamic pricing does kick in though, so keep an eye on the website. There is a lottery on the website you can enter, although I’m guessing your dates are 21/22nd Aug for which the lottery is now closed.

Struggled to get anything this morning. Back to the Future naturally gone in a flash, but even after nothing left for Pretty Woman and everything else showing gone as well.
As frustrating as they are, I wish it was a mini queue rather than whoever has the fastest iPhone.

Enjoy!
I got row D of the stalls for The Mousetrap last week for £20, was pleased with that.

Ok, sp obsessive checking pays off.
Incredibly I've just managed to get two rush tickets for Back to the Future tonight! Row L Dress Circle.

I got seat B19 through rush for Get Up Stand Up yesterday which is at the extreme end of row B but still only about 6 seats from the centre and a perfect view. Wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy the show as I'm not really a fan of reggae music but I had a great evening.
Tried for Tina today, but was only offered a seat in a poor side location. What surprised me looking at the theatre's own website was that it was the fourth seat in a block of six. Tonight's performance is only about 60% sold but no sign of any dynamic pricing here - nothing even half decent under £80.

Anyone noticed that when you select a rush ticket it doesn’t tell you the seat number anymore? Just the section, for example 1x Stalls Ticket. Anyone know why they made this change?

Booked tickets on Thursday for The Shark is Broken and they gave me the exact allocation. Maybe it depends on the show

I've always been given the seat number and wouldn't use rush if their system worked in any other way. Once for Hairspray I was first offered a seat in the upper circle costing something like £55, then about 20 minutes \later I got row B stalls which was originally £150.

I think this might be an update that they’re gradually rolling out. When I saw this thread the other day I tried the app and was still getting seats numbers. I’ve tried it today and now I’m just getting the generic seat section. This time last week I got a rush ticket for Back to the Future and trying it today just offered me the section without a seat number.
They won’t be getting me buying rush tickets anymore unless it’s for a show I really want to see.

I haven't experienced this myself as I haven't tried to use the app or book a Rush ticket but when I tried to book via the websiste recently, I encountered that " mustn't leave a single seat vacant" issue others have mentioned and which I'd forgotten as I'd not come across it. The app used however to infuriate me by defaulting to 2 seats rather than allowing the user to select the quantity, so what happens now, please, those who have tried it - can you not even book a single ticket?
Interestingly I was then able to book the same seat, at the same price, on Seatplan, so I shan't bother with Todaytix in future - never a good idea to discourage business but least of all now.

Yes I have had this issue within the past week or so, and on the Delfont Mackintosh site too! So frustrating, not sure if it's a hangover from Covid seating plans but it needs to be fixed.

Just checked my order history - I've bought rush tickets over 50 times over the years. This change of not giving you a specific seat number will significantly reduce the likelihood of me ever buying them again.

Last time I got tickets, on Monday, i was able to select seats in rush.
Today I cannot see my "my list" any longer.
I won't be booking without knowing the seat row at least.

It’s a shame they’re going this way. When I did rush for Hamilton in San Francisco it was unallocated seating and I ended up with central orchestra but quite far back - which was fine. But I’ve gotten very used to having the seat numbers here in London and it’s a real shame they’re changing it. A vast difference from being front row stalls to row U.

Plus it's also an access thing. The thought of finding myself being surrounded in the middle of one of those long rows with no middle aisle fills me with dread.

I also would probably stop using TodayTix without the seat number.
I've never had a bad seat with Rush Tickets before, but I have been offered some dodgy seats before.
I wonder why they've felt the need to do this... tickets for most shows sell out within minutes on a weekday and seconds on weekends...

I’m 6’4” with thighs like tree trunks. I need an aisle seat or to know where I’m going to be so I can research it and know that I can sit there for 3 hours. It might not be a disability access issue but its still accessibility. Without knowing I just won’t be using it.

They want you to log on, purchase, and get off again.

For Prince of Egypt on Wednesday, I didn't book until about 2pm. For a single seat first it offered me the back of the stalls in the centre, then the middle of the stalls right off to the side, then finally the centre of row H. Has this not showing the seats thing changed for all shows?

Really disappointing… I for one wouldn’t book without knowing the specific seat location - to just state ‘Stalls’ or ‘Dress Circle’ isn’t good enough. Anyone who’s ever been to a theatre knows there’ll be great and pretty shocking seats within those areas, not to mention the fact they’d have originally been priced at vastly different amounts.
It seems an incredibly short-sighted move for TodayTix to make at a time when I’d have thought getting bums on West End seats is more important than ever.

It’s akin to the ticket agencies of old flogging you a pillar view seat at Phantom for top whack. If you’ve no way of knowing its dodgy.

It's very old fashioned. There have been such great advancements in ticketing technology to point that basically every agent can now sell any specific seat at a performance. This harks back to the olden days of buying from a ticket agent and not finding out your seat until you got there.

On my last London trip I tried rush a couple of times for Prince of Egypt too, getting row S of R a few times, before finally getting one for row E. There’s no way I would ever book without knowing the seat first. Factoring in the huge mark ups they add to most ordinary tickets I doubt I’ll be using them again.

Seems very strange if this is going to be their policy going forwards. I've used them a lot and always been happy with my seats but not really keen on going into the "unknown". Definitely feels like a backwards step.
