New artwork is crap. Shame, I quite liked the Donmar graphics.

I'm reliably informed that whoever's doing the socials for N2N didn't see the show at the Donmar which...makes a lot of sense 👀

I mean you can watch bootlegs of the Broadway production on YouTube. The rebranding just doesn’t seem to be taking the themes of N2N seriously. And they’re pretty serious themes at the end of the day.

I didn't know the Milton Glazer / Dylan reference - interesting; and yes the N2N graphic is totally a 'homage' (ahem) to that.
Before knowing that, what I saw was The Beatles' various psychedlic images for 'Yellow Submarine' and more. I saw the show at the Donmar, and really can't see what this image has to with it - the central character is on mind-calming drugs (well that's their intention anyway), not ones to send her spiralling into some psychelic exploration where she's running after a white rabbit to find her inner peace pixie. Once evened out from life's peaks and troughs she sings "I miss the Mountains"; psycho active drugs were supposed to open 'the doors of the mind' from which you'd return from never-explored-peaks with new understanding.
This graphic holds quite an embarassing vagueness in the interpretation and representation of mental illness and drug treatment.

Really really curious as to who is doing marketing and social for N2N

A very early version of the show was called "Feeling Electric".The poster reminds me of that. Of course the show has drastically changed since then.

The marketing team for this continue to knock one out in the park, probably the worst trailer I've ever seen for a musical. It starts with what I guess is a song clip that's joined at a point of full 'counter melody', but out of context it just sounds like two pieces of conflicting audio have been left on the trailer in error; then subsequent song clips seem badly/screechily sung (I saw it at the Donmar, the singing was great).
I can only assume they are still stuck on the psychedelia thing that the poster design suggests. White room, fast cutting, atonal; they might as well go the full Ken Russell and slide around in foam suds while smearing themselves with baked beans.

It is a terrible trailer - why are they trying to include a line from every song? Despite loving this show and cast, I scroll straight past this video every time it pops up on my feed because it’s just noise!! Awful marketing.

Jack Wolfe has managed to pick up another award (Critic’s Circle Theatre) for his role in this. I am curious to see if he manages to get the Olivier too. I’m no expert on these things but I would wager he’s this production’s best shot at one.

I think Elle is their best shot at a win personally - for me supporting actress is the least competitive of the musical categories and thus Elle has the clearest shot.

I'm wondering if we'll get an Olivier N2N performance? And if, so what song they would do? Could copy the Tonys and do 'You Don't Know/I am the One'. Or maybe 'Superboy & the Invisible Boy' if they want to focus on Jack & Ellie. Or 'I'm Alive' if they think Jack is their best shot.

Is Cassie scheduled to do all the shows when the show transfers to the Wyndham’s?

Is Cassie scheduled to do all the shows when the show transfers to the Wyndham’s? I'd assume so but she might have days off or call out sick her standby will go on.

This cast were super reliable in the Donmar run. I remember Ellie was out for a few days and I think Jack O missed one show, but Caissie, Jamie, Trevor & Jack W did every performance. Wonder if they have the same understudies as last time?

Wonder if they have the same understudies as last time? I seem to remember the understudies being listed on the website and being different - at least Caroline Maitland wasn't listed as the Diana understudy.

Has any announcement been made about Day Seats for the transfer? I missed out on Donmar tickets so I'd like to build a trip to London around the possibility of seeing this. It's been a good few years since I saw the original on Broadway but it remains one of my most memorable experiences over there.

A video has ( link) been released on WhatsOnStage's YouTube of Eleanor, Cassie, and Jack W singing Superboy and the Invisible Girl, and there's been hints on N2N's Instagram about a similar one for I'm Alive coming soon. Hopefully this means good things for a cast recording - they all sound great.

No Info regarding day seats yet. I assume this will get a rush, I can't see it being popular enough for a lottery, but you never know.
