From all the refunds I have had, my credit card is now literally that - in credit, by several hundred pounds, and more to come! I keep this card purely for theatre bookings and bits of trivia, so what on earth am I to spend it on? It will be a while before I dare book any tickets, that's for sure. I'm in the same position and I've still got loads of refunds to come plus refund from cancelled holiday. In addition I've bought tickets for friends as well and they paid me months ago so I have to give them the money back out of my bank account. Not sure what credit card you have but Barclaycard have said that if you are in credit you can transfer the money into your Barclay bank account.

Still no word from the flippin' Barbican. When I log in to Barbican it states my Evita refund was done on 14th and to allow 10 days for it to appear - yet nothing 15 days later! Might give them a call tomorrow....

In other news, excellent and prompt service from Birmingham Hippodrome and LW Theatres :-)

I didn't think to check on My Account on the Barbican website! My refunds show as being actioned on 6th April and nothing yet, so I think you may have some time to wait...

Anyone asked for and got a voucher for Manc Royal Exchange?
I asked for a voucher for West Side Story - have had two e-mails saying I have one, but no ACTUAL voucher or instructions on redeeming.
Does it just sit on your account or do you get an actual voucher?
Thanks.

No voucher or code attached so I’m assuming it’s just noted on my REX account to be redeemed on my next ticket purchase.

A refund from ATG on a POTO ticket for Manchester came through on my card today and whilst keeping my ticket for the same performance, I got an email from ATG giving me a £15 bar and Ambassador Lounge voucher as a thankyou (I used the "something special" quote from the ATG emails). For using my e voucher from the cancelled Beautiful tour, they gave me an additional £10 voucher for use in another booking which I've used for Dreamgirls next year. Had an email this afternoon from ATG saying my Phantom of the Opera tickets are being rescheduled and they should know in 2 weeks when that will be for, or I can request a full credit voucher .... I’m going to phone in the morning to request a refund . I guess I’m likely to be on the phone all day . Wish me luck !

Sometimes I’ve got straight through while more recentlyI’ve been hanging on for 30-40 minutes the last few times so good luck.

That is kind of what I assumed though the e-mail doesn't really make it clear! That got me thinking so I’ve just logged onto the REX but I can’t find any way to check to see if my account has actually been credited or not as there should be around £100 of credit on there as there doesn’t appear to be any tabs you can click on to get a past history purchase order list or credit balance available listing. Fingers crossed it’s been recorded. If not I’ve got the emails as backup if any issues arise when trying to use the credit.

But will similarly keep the e-mails. My cancelled events so complicated that I've got a spreadsheet detailing refunds, reschedules, vouchers and donations. Writing the voucher codes on it for most things so have everything in one place so wouldn't have to go searching e-mails....

Does anyone know if there is a way to donate the Bridge Theatre? In their cancellation email they said it would help them if audiences agreed to accept a credit rather than refund, which I have done, but there doesn't seem to be a way to donate in lieu of the other tickets I would usually be buying from them? Obviously I can email but they may be a little busy at the moment!

Well whaddya know, all my Barbican refunds have now shown up as Pending Transactions on my current account, which means they should be credited at close of business today.

I guess I’ll just have to keep phoning , unless emailing will result in a refund?

My own experience on phoning ATG....
Calling at 9am on the dot - usually goes straight through (ish) - I think that's the best time. Last Saturday mid morning - waited for an hour before the line cutting out. Yesterday afternoon - waited 45 mins and then got through.
So I'd say if you can call 8:59 and 30 secs ish you might just be the first through.
So yesterday having waited 45 mins, I was then on phone with agent for a further hour - so 1:45 mins in total phone call. I did have a lot of bookings but, oh my God, I think their IT systems are SO complicated and antiquated and are just not able to cope with this sort of thing. She apparently processed 4 refunds for me. One she could just do, the other 3 she had to put me on hold and get help from manager. Two of them I had changed the date on previously and one was 3 shows on one booking.
I did ask if she thought these refunds would ever have come through had I not phoned. Didn't get a direct answer but my impression was they wouldn't have. Bless her, she was absolutely lovely. But probs had to go and have a lie down after making it through my 4 bookings. I really hope the refunds come through now as not sure I could go through that again.
As I have said before, ATG IT and infrastructure wasn't there BEFORE the pandemic - but this has pushed it over the edge.
Anyway, my point is, if your booking is anything other than one show on one booking ref that's never been changed - I don't think their systems seem to pick up and process the requests - so I'd deffo call. And I know it's all been said before, but all the agents I have spoken to have been great and really tried to help me out. They are battling systems that are complex and out of their control though.
As for the company itself - whoever is in charge of IT really needs to secure some investment. And of course the company communications need more humility and honesty.
Also learning point for me for the future - every booking I will do separately so as to never have more than one performance on one booking reference.
I had SO much for March/April/May that I had to get refunds. For June onwards I'll be accepting vouchers as it's a more acceptable amount of bookings and I will of course be back in Manchester, Bristol and Brighton.

Does it just sit on your account or do you get an actual voucher? Thanks. I contacted them several weeks ago as I did my booking over the phone so there was no e mail trail. They said that someone would contact me but that was 4 weeks ago today so just sent them an e mail for an update. Should have been seeing the show tomorrow. I want a refund as I was visiting Manchester just to see this and have no plans to be up there again in the near future. Update. Literally just got reply saying that I should have received an e mail from them about a credit which I didnt get (I booked over the phone which would explain). Anyway looks like there is a link if you want a refund so will try that.

Thanks for the tip about checking my Barbican account, it says my refund was actioned on the 14th. As with others, no sign in my account so will hope it turns up. Whenever I have to give my bank details I always worry I've done it wrong so hope that's not the case here!

Went to check (had no clue I could, so thank you all!): my Barbican account says the refund was processed on the 8th. Still nothing on the bank account, though...

My ATG account is completely blank with no record of any orders and there was no response to the web (not Facebook) form I completed

Obviously I can email but they may be a little busy at the moment! I think as they are a commercial company and not a charity, they don't have a donation scheme. May be wrong though. If you want to support them you could buy a membership, or upgrade to a higher level of membership, I guess? Thanks for the tip about checking my Barbican account, it says my refund was actioned on the 14th. As with others, no sign in my account so will hope it turns up. Whenever I have to give my bank details I always worry I've done it wrong so hope that's not the case here! Me too! Either when giving my details or entering someone elses to do a money transfer.

I filled out those online forms from ATG as well but for me personally, I’d rather speak to someone to sort it out rather than just doing it online.

With all the different organisations to deal with the Excel spreadsheet was for me the easiest way to keep track of the progress of refund / credit notes and rescheduled shows. Who doesn’t like a multicoloured spreadsheet?!
