ALW just said on Good Morning Britain that he heard yesterday that another show (not one of his) has been pushed back to Autumn. Has this been announced yet, or anyone have any educated guesses?

Not theatre but theatrical Queen +Adam Lambert at the O2 have postponed for another year to 2022.

My booking for the UK tour of Six in Cardiff in June has been pushed back to May 2022. God, that's a long time. Do wonder if the whole touring circuit will be subject to another round of very long postponements. Unlike London, I can't see ATG in the regions considering to operate with social distancing. |

Stuff that would have been touring in 2020 that won't be seen until 2022 means two years of potential new work, new productions, new names won't be on stage in those two years. Think of all the performers who were "big in 2020" which will still be clogging the calendar of major venues in 2022, and what creatives might have come to the fore in those two years under normal circumstances. Good work will still find a way through, I'm sure, but the market is going to be clogged with "old work" for at least a year after things get going again. |

Sister Act pushed back another year to 2022, with Whoopi Goldberg no longer appearing in it.
Requested refund as she was the only reason I wanted to see it.

Good at the Harold Pinter postponed again - no new dates yet, but email says it will stay at the Pinter, and David Tennant, Fenella Woolgar and Elliot Levey remain in the production.

What do we recon about Sunday? 2022? I'm a bit of a pessimist but don't think we are going to see this one at all. I think it will just get knocked on the head. I feel the same about Dolly. |

Dolly I think we'll get because it's a British star. The chances of Jake making it over here for Sunday are I would think very slim but the production might go ahead without him.

Dolly I think we'll get because it's a British star. The chances of Jake making it over here for Sunday are I would think very slim but the production might go ahead without him. I suppose for Imelda Staunton it will depend on the filming of The Crown. I think there will be a lot of "if only" productions due to covid Most TV is back filming with Covid precautions in place so I doubt The Crown will be too delayed. |

They might be waiting to see what the numbers look like with Sister Act - will people still be so keen to see anything that they'll keep the tickets regardless? But then, Sister Act is based on a highly successful film with big songs, whereas SITPWG is a rather more rarefied treat which would could struggle to sell out a commercial theatre without a name. What's Alfie Boe up to? |

I think Sunday was sold more as an event than just a revival of the musical. So without Jake can't see it going ahead in the current and near future climate. It would be a hard sell.
Sunday is quite a niche musical even amongst MT lovers, afterall Sondheim ain't everyone's cup of tea.
I even know 2 lots of people who booked it just for Jake and had no idea it was a musical until I told them.
But if it had gone ahead last year it would have been my highlight of the year along with Dolly.

I booked for Sunday in the Park with George as I’d never seen it. The cast was a bonus. I agree that most people booked for the star though
