This is a thread specifically to discuss theatres, productions and performances impacted by the crisis.
Thanks to the member who suggested this, so that useful info is not buried in the wider discussion in the Covid-19 thread.

Bill Kenwright's verson of Saturday Night Fever was supposed to go on tour to Cologne, Munich and Istanbul, but has been cancelled after only a few nights in Bromley.

Pentatonix have postponed their European tour.
I don’t want theatres to be closed but I d rather the government went ahead and banned gatherings so events can be cancelled without penalty from insurers etc. Given that lots of people are reluctant to go out.

My daughter-in-law was half way through a run of "Samson & Deliah" in Washinton D.C. - now pulled. Being self employed will mean money short.

Folks, we had some reports that some of the posts in this thread were not specific to schedule changes and were therefore off topic.
It’s really up to you all, and the member whose idea it was to begin with, what this thread is used for.
You may want to reach a consensus about it and we’ll moderate accordingly thereafter.

Well if I out myself as the member who suggested it to BurlyBeaR I had the thought that this thread would mostly feature practical information about specific shows to alert for cancellations, cast changes etc. and be more about practical issues rather than speculation (e.g. which shows were offering refunds for people who had to isolate) - however given that there's less factual information over the weekend inevitably it's been used speculatively over the weekend. I'd rather we kept this to facts and left the speculation for the main Covid thread, but that's just my point of view. I suspect we might get rather more hard information about effects of the UK theatre scene from tomorrow.

I agree, can't we keep this to known facts please? There's enough speculation floating round the net as it is.

Just got an email from the Old VIc cancelling the rest of the Endgame run. Asking for ticket holders to consider donating their ticket fees instead of asking for a refund, in exchange for access to a video from earlier in the run (though only mentions Endgame and not Rough for Theatre II).

The Finborough has announced it will reschedule its next two shows (Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad and Women without Men) due to coronavirus.
Its current production Not Quite Jerusalem will run until March 28, but after that the theatre will be closed until May 26.

Posts removed. This thread is specifically for the listing of cancelled shows. If we can stay on topic that would be appreciated.

Further post removed. Speculation about individual cast members finishing dates does not fall into the category of confirmed theatre cancellations.
c’mon folks... throw me a bone here! 🙂

c’mon folks... throw me a bone here! 🙂 to be fair, that post wasn't speculation, it is confirmed fact that the two cast members in question left the show on Sat because of Covid-19, they said as much on social media!
