Evita have cancelled their run at the Barbican: Grrrr, upset about this one, was really looking fwd to it. Is it inevitable that Joseph will be next? Is there anything in the Palladium in the Autumn? Maybe they could just postpone. Or do Xmas. Is a Panto confirmed? |

Just noticed the Barbican's latest update also confirms memberships will be extended ...
(previously they were saying only that if you renewed during the closure, your new membership would be extended to take account of the closure)

We'd usually have bought out Palladium Panto tickets by now No, those don't go on sale until the last week of May normally - last year I bought mine on the 29th, priority booking day, and it was the same timing the year before too. Ah right. I suppose it just feels like it ought to be the end of May by now! |

Another Barbican update - they have mailed asking people to add their bank account details their Barbican account, and they will credit refunds to that. If you don't add your details, they will refund as credit vouchers.

End of June is date I've been given repeatedly as the very earliest theatres can open. The knock-on consequences for scheduling are anyone's guess.

I’m quite disappointed by this - it sounds like the first half of English National Opera’s season will be cancelled then, to make way for Hairspray?  I was looking forward to Nixon in China! |

Sadly Brighton Pride cancelled this morning..... Waiting on Manchester Pride now.

That's good news. At least not cancelled. Do you think if we have tickets that were on offer we can transfer across to new date and have for same price? I hope so. I got a cheap ticket from TodayTix so I don't know how they're dealing with rescheduling and refunds. |

ATG have extended their closure to the 31st May at all venues. It was inevitable really. 😢

Without wishing to open any further discussion on this lest the mods be angered, should point out that ATG have posted on Facebook that if you want a cash refund, you need to go to this page: www.atgtickets.com/cv19form3Under the section "I would like...", select "Help with another query", and in the comment box you can request a cash refund instead of a voucher. It's clear from the FB comments as well as those here that it's taking them a while, and you may get a voucher in the interim which will be cancelled when they process the cash refund, but they'll get to you. |

Announcing cancellations/suspensions to 31 May only seems odd, when other theatres/agencies have gone for far later dates, but maybe it's to enable ATG to manage the refund process.

Yes, I thought there would have been a co-ordinated SOLT led approach between all West End venues, like there had been with the initial 26th April announcement. I agree that ATG are probably just trying to manage the refund issues in stages. However, one co-ordinated date industry-wide would probably be easier for audiences to deal with.

As per other threads, the ATG announcement of closure until 31st May has led to the following developments in the West End:-
*9 to 5 The Musical has now finished its run at the Savoy (had been booking until 23rd May).
*The Seagull has now ended its run at the Playhouse (had been booking until 30th May). I think Jamie Lloyd intends to bring it back at some point.
*Uncle Vanya has now ended its run at the Harold Pinter (had been booking until 2nd May). Producers hope to re-schedule postponed performances later in the year.
*Baby Reindeer and The Shark is Broken at the Ambassadors have both been postponed.
*The Watsons will lose the first three weeks of performances (previews had been due to start 8th May). It still has a lengthy enough run until 26th September.
*Blithe Spirit having already closed prematurely at the Duke of York's, The Doctor at the same venue will lose the first
six weeks of performances (previews had been due to start 18th April). It must finish on 18th July to make way for The Pillowman. I wonder if The Doctor will be postponed 'til later in the year at a different theatre or until next year at the Duke of York's?
Whatever one says about ATG, it has such an impressive roster of shows. I hope most, if not all, can be saved.
I have to say that my heart really goes out to all at Sonia Friedman's office in particular. So many of the above shows are hers, in addition to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (at Nimax's Palace), and The Book of Mormon, Leopoldstadt and To Kill a Mockingbird at Delfont Mackintosh venues. It was shaping up to be a barnstormer of a year for her, possibly her best and busiest ever. The disruption and the work going on right now behind the scenes must be immense, heartbreaking and draining.

Well I got my voucher for TodayTix through, £16.50 isn't much use to me so asking for a refund. Given how uncertain things are I'll be happy to book better tickets for Hairspray in the autumn.

I had a trip planned for the middle of May and unfortunately will not
be able to travel. Have a ticket for Leopoldstadt and just checked the
Delfont Macintosh website and it is now showing no scheduled performances.
Since the run of the show was supposed to end at the beginning of June have
they officially canceled the remaining performances. Such a shame.
