Dragula Season 3 on Prime.
Forget Seasons 1 and 2. This is where to start. Crazy and a complete antithesis to RPDR which, as much as I love it, is starting to suck all the subversion out of drag (Sasha Velour was on Lorraine this morning just as one example),
Dragula is dark, trashy, horror glam and very clever.
(Their version of the Pit Crew are super hot too 😜)

Found that fashion next prog, thanks BB - not bad but not enough analysis of the garments. Might improve as they chuck out the contestants. Is it a US prog cos loads of Brits in it, fronting it etc. And if anyone like a buddy tec series try New Blood very right on and good plots as you would expect from the writer Horowitz of Foyle’s War. It is as if they asked him to write something for a more metro generation but not altogether woke. (Woke? Do I mean that?) Those both Netflix. New Blood has been around for a few years, was one of BBC3s flagship shows but sadly it didnt find an audience. It's a shame as I agree its brilliant and well worth a watch. The two leads have great chemistry. The thing I love about Sex Education is how it really feels like an American teen show, the way its shot, the look etc all could be from America. Its brilliantly done If it wasn't for discounted annual fees I'm not sure I'd bother with Amazon Prime, I rarely find anything worth watching. Jack Ryan is about the only show I've genuinely got into on there and the film selections are usually poor.

The Amazon Prime film selection would be fine if the films actually came with it! 75% of the time the films I want to watch on Amazon you have to pay for even with prime (and it doesn't even give you a discount or anything) so I just rent the ones I want to see and don't bother with prime anymore. By the way The Band's Visit film is on there and very good for anyone who likes the musical. Think it's like just over £3 to rent in HD.

On Amazon Prime Bosch is worth a look, Los Angeles cop. Watch from the very first ep as there is an arc!

I must be the only person on earth who can't stand Sex Education. I've tried to watch it 3 or 4 times now and just can't get into it.

I think Uncut Gems is out on Netflix tomorrow - my Twitter timeline has been raving about it for weeks so I'm curious. Well, I wasn't mad on it - I just found the lead so utterly unengaging and stupid I couldn't give a toss what happened to him. And quite what the wife or nubile young girlfriends see/saw in him is beyond me

Some of it is down to the feet but mostly because it just felt ‘a bit weird’ and we couldn’t get into it.

It's really well made I just can't take the endless stream of juvenile dick and bum sex jokes.

Finished Uncut Gems a little while ago. I really liked Good Time, the directors' previous film, so I was looking forward to this but at first I wasn't totally convinced. It was well shot and well acted but I wasn't all that invested (I guess maybe because there wasn't really a sympathetic character to latch onto unlike Good Time) but I still thought it was a well made movie and was an enjoyable ride. But then about an hour in something clicked for me and I was fully on board and somehow found myself rooting for Howard despite him being an irredeemable gambling addict and making terrible choices because of that. I suppose once you've spent enough time with him you understand that he thrives on the chaos and loves the risk and he has no control of his need to keep going and so you want him to overcome the odds and do it. I won't go into spoilers but at some point my mouth was agape and I was teary for this despicable man so clearly the film won me over like no other. Definitely not a film for everyone but if you love feeling anxious then this is the film for you (also the same can be said of Climax on Netflix which I watched earlier in the week and also left my mouth open in shock at one point - this isn't a common occurrence for me even though it might sound like it. Waves as well was very stressful though that was in the cinema. A Hidden Life too. What I'm trying to say is I've been left on edge for a week with no release so if anyone wants to recommend a wholesome, relaxing film that'd be appreciated haha).

something clicked for me and I was fully on board I think for me his behaviour reminded me of some people quite close to home so I wasn't prepared to cut him any slack!

|Is Sex Education meant to be set in a specific time period? Don't know if I am over thinking it but it seems to be a real mix of time periods. For example they are all using smart phones which indicates now(ish), some of the clothes are modern but some are very retro (70's/80's), Sam Spiro was using a camera which was 50's/60's and some of the house interior are modern and some quite retro. The cars also seem to be quite old (not that I know anything about cars). Is it done on purpose?

It's supposed to be a weird mix of anachronistic stuff so that it has the vibe of an 80s John Hughes type of American high school movie but set in modern day England.

Only John Hughes movies were funny x How much of it have you actually watched to be able to say it is legitimately unfunny. Also I don't really come to the show for the humour but for its intelligent and mature way of handling sexual health and positivity issues that society still regards as taboo, as well as the drama and character interactions (they all have such wonderful chemistry and I think these things are the real draw for most people).

I gave up after the first Ep. I found them all annoying, even Gillian who I usually love.

But Holy Hell what and unlikable bunch of contestants lol They're all complete nut jobs!

I strongly recommend this! IT IS CRAAAAAAZY!!! Seeing lots of comments about Tiger King on Facebook, usually accompanied by a “WTF” or 😮. It’s getting huge ratings on the review sites too. I’ve read a blurb but I’m struggling to understand why it’s getting this reaction. Can anyone explain?

The people in it have to be seen to be believed. They are probably the most vile feral bunch of turdburgers ever assembled in one television series. You're best going in pretty blind as all the promos give too much away. Although it is of coursed ruined from the start as it has like a 2 minute intro which gives the main story away. So fast forward it if you watch it.

Turdburgers is an apt description My jaw kept dropping throughout the whole first episode. Can't wait to watch more!

As an editor myself, I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to work for months on end to get the balance of drip feeding the right information at the right time to make a show like this really shine and then have some dick executive come in at the end and make you tell the whole 7 hour story in 2 minutes and slam it on the front of your hard work so that people with ADD might watch your programme.

I strongly recommend this! IT IS CRAAAAAAZY!!! I've been thoroughly enjoying this and have one episode to go. It's perhaps one of the scariest things I've ever seen. Not horror scary, obviously, but scary to think that we live in a world where people like this exist. Plus, to think that this is all very real. I think Netflix is churning out some corkers in terms of documentaries. Don't F*** With Cats was brilliant and now this. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

I'm watching Unorthodox on Netflix. Very good but you have to concentrate as its nearly all in Yiddish and so subtitled. But gives a great insight into orthodox Jews whilst also being a good drama.
