Tickets from 25th June back on sale - guess the pilot opening will be happening then. It will be very interesting to see what happens if it goes ahead.
I just wonder if I'm actually legally able to attend as me getting there involves a 1 hour 30 mins train journey each way. I knew the risk I was taking when I bought the ticket on that front though, in terms of lockdown rules getting changed for the tougher again.

No limit to travelling around the country, and highly unlikely that will change again.

Thanks for the info, it's good to know. Though I wish I could share your confidence that won't change. I do hope I get to go though. Not been to any sort of show/event since winter 2019.

It’s going to be interesting to see how they deal with refunds if this does go ahead at full capacity as a government trial. It changes the conditions of the tickets, and even if someone bought a ticket to a full capacity show in good faith that restrictions would be lifted by then, you can’t assume they’ll now be happy attending a “trial” event which requires testing and subsequent tracking - under conditions the government are effectively calling “unsafe” by not allowing them to proceed elsewhere.
So even they push ahead, I suspect performances won’t be as full as they would have been.

Can’t imagine they’ll be too difficult if people want to swap tickets to a later date rather than be part of a trial.
I’ll have had my second vaccine and am in one of the row g single seats so not worried about how full it is. And hopefully masks will keep screaming to a minimum.

I think if ever there was a thread suitable for a How Many Stars poll it’s this one! 😋

I sometimes despair with the theatreboard and the amount of criticism there is for some shows. It's not even opened and we have heard just a handful of songs and yet people are constantly "slagging off" the show, cast, composer" etc etc. For God's sake why are people putting the knife in before we know what it's going to be like. You don't want to see it, don't go. Some of us want to see it, have booked our seats and looking forward to it. Surely we should be celebrating new British musicals bringing in much needed cash to the industry and giving people work. I wonder what someone who is not a theatre person would think if they read some of the threads and would be confused why theatre fans are so critical. OK when it opens and audiences have seen it and it's a pile I'd poo then, yes, go ahead and moan, but let's give it a chance. I'm sure there are cast members, friends as well as front and back of house staff who read the forum and it must be so upsetting for them. I'm sure my comments won't go down well but it's all very tiresome, plus as I get older I don't worry so much if I offend some people and its bl**dy hot, I've got a headache and I'm moody!! Plus my dinner is taking ages to cook 😀 Anyway rant over and apologies.

So as you get older, you dont worry so much about offending people, and yet you seem very offended by what others have to say...
Theatreboard is a discussion board. The key word there, being discussion... the good, the bad, and the ALW shows...

The key word there, being discussion... the good, the bad, and the ALW shows... Exactly This ^^^ Both ALW and CHF are very polarising figures for different reasons. I love his musicals but not his politics, think she has a nice voice but to me her acting is weaker than her singing. I give credit when it is due but it’s just my opinion. Her online presence where she overshares comes across as virtue signalling and preachy and a little smug so that does affect my judgment of her as an actress and leading lady. That is *my* impression. Others love her. Good on them. I’m sure there’s plenty of people and productions I love that others can’t stand. Just because we’ve not seen the show yet doesn’t mean we can’t comment on the bits we have seen and heard. This board is fun because we can admire, bitch, speculate and critique. It would be so boring if we all liked the same things. Just because we have been starved of theatre doesn’t mean we should applaud everything that is now offered up. They’ll be the crap and spectacular just like before. Yes we’re sorry for the takeaway that closed during lockdown but we ate there once and got food poisoning. Let’s not pretend we didn’t have good and bad opinions on theatre before Covid.

As I said not all will agree with me but I am entitled to put my opinions across just as anyone else is.

As I said not all will agree with me but I am entitled to put my opinions across just as anyone else is. Of course. It’s your opinion. And everyone’s entitled. But ticking us off for ‘slagging’ stuff off and ‘sticking the knife in’ etc and telling everyone ‘Surely we should be celebrating new British musicals bringing in much needed cash to the industry and giving people work’ No. Not every new British musical announced *should* be celebrated just because it’s new, we’ve been in a drought and people have been out of work. While I have empathy for the industry as a whole - we all have our story to tell about the last 18 months. When I go and see it I’m sure I’ll form a more rounded opinion on it but until then I will voice my opinion (which no one really gives a stuff about other than me) on what I’ve seen and heard so far and leave you with my poorly executed takeaway analogy.

Perhaps a new song is being released soon?
A title ‘Marry For Love’ has appeared for the penultimate track of the show on iTunes!

That's exciting! It hasn't made it onto the Highlights album though.
I'd like to hear a duet or ensemble number next I think.

Your view is that you don't like other people having a different opinion ?? You're not the first person to say something similar about negative posts, and i'm sure it won't be the last, but even the most passionate fans, on any subject, can't agree on everything, all the time. Have you considered setting up a tuck shop? We can come get some tuck (please stock milk teeth and cola bottles!) and then we can write nice things in the visitors book

It would be so refreshing for Cinders and Sebastian to do the modern thing and just hook up and it to end with a wedding of Prince Charming and his one true love Prince (insert fairytale name here)

So that's the real reason our david was in London last weekend. 😉 "If you want my honest opinion, Andrew. Can I call you Andrew? It needs more dancing...much more."
