I think since it's a new show it's quite nice to show off the costumes etc, and the ensemble seemed really keen.
I think I might have been tempted to do part of the opening number (Buns and Roses?) staged with the ensemble and then had one of the 'big' songs just being sung concert-style.

Saw this last and enjoyed it. Not a lot to add to what's already been said on here, it's not ALW's finest but it was a fun night out and everyone seemed to be having a ball. I really liked Carrie, she seemed to have put the weekend's problems behind her and gave a great performance. The rotating seats added a little extra (the woman next to me wasn't aware it was happening until we were halfway round which was quite funny)and it was nice to be so close to the stage especially with so much male flesh on display. I've given it 4 stars, glad I've seen it but not sure how long it will last in the WE I can't see it being a long runner.

I was waiting for either of the ‘ugly’ sisters to start parading in peephole leather or crotchless chaps but no. Whilst I realise it wasn’t aimed at this boring old straight, I found all of the gym bunny stuff very old fashioned & a bit out of touch. Fair enough if that’s what they lust after in Belleville, but it was all a bit 80’s porn for me.

Sounds like a puff piece to me. More like ALW would like it to go over but no actual plan yet. If it does go I can’t see CHF going with it.

I really loved this afternoon’s performance. Had Georgina as Cinderella and Micheal Hamway as Prince Sebastian and they were pretty excellent. I was also seated in the revolving seats which added to the spectacle for me. I’d love to watch Georgina or even the understudy do the time but wouldn’t rush back for CHF as she isn’t my cup of tea really.

Does CHF do many shows now or not bothering? Hearing more and more of her being off. Or does she officially only do 6 shows a week or something?

She gets Weds mat off at the moment, changing to Monday night in a few weeks.

Its not that big of a sing, it's hardly Evita and she's off stage for large chunks of the show. Why only 6 performances a week.

Because they currently only do 7 performances a week and Carrie does 6 of those with the alternate doing Wednesday matinees. And then from the end of October it changes to an 8 performance week with the the alternate doing the Monday evening and Carrie doing the other 7.

Why didn't you just start with this complaint that she should be doing all 7 shows rather than 6? Instead of sidling up to it with the earlier implication she can't be bothered? It's noticeable that nobody has commented on the number of shows that Ivano is missing (after recovery from his injury). I really hesitate to divert attention to him, because there could be good reasons - but what's your special interest in trying to bring CHF's professional reputation down?

I mean I love a bit of TikTok and it’s been a great platform for musical theatre but it’s worth noting that Carrie doesn’t use it. I also just can’t see what the big issue is here. She has an alternate. They do one show a week whilst Carrie does all the rest. It’s really not a big deal. Whether you think the role needs an alternate doesn’t really matter as they’ve decided that it does. And I believe Carrie has only taken the one day off sick after West End Live and I think there was even an incident where she had to come back from her booked time away early to perform a show possibly due to other sickness in the company so she’s hardly shying away from performing.

Maybe CHF can spend the day off trying to master the art of singing in a space that isnt the theatre she's used to being in.

Gosh people really hate her don't they?! I wonder what it is about her? I'm not a fan, I just see her a competent jobbing actress who has been pushed very hard as if she's a star, despite lacking in anything to differentiate her from the rest. I don't "get" it, but I certainly don't hate her.

Well, she did, until people started calling her out on her poor and hypocritical behaviour and attitude towards people and other female actors.

So, the show is at 60% capacity for the next week or so... Where are the deals? Surely they're not shifting £60-£95 seats at full price on the day...

Mmm another one sat here waiting/hoping for deals. I like the show enough to want to make more visits, in particular to catch covers, but it's hard to swallow paying the very high full prices last minute when I can see lots of unsold seats. Discount pls.

While I'm here - does anyone happen to have a clue as to whether we might expect the first cover to go on for Cinderella at some point when CHF is on holiday? Second cover has already (unexpectedly) been on, Georgina will obviously cover CHF's holiday dates, but per other shows I've seen with alternates used I'd expect the understudy to pick up a show or two as well (generally the 'alt' one) if the main lead was off. I'd really love to catch Lauren Byrne, can imagine she'll be fantastic.

Had the pleasure of taking my parents to this tonight and it was excellent. Some tweaks to music, props, blocking - first time in a theatre for my folks for over two years. Making up for it with another three shows over next two days!

Congratulations to Carrie Hope Fletcher on ....
....running the London Marathon today (during her S-c-h-E-d-U-L-E-D L-e-A-v-E, repeat S-c-h-E-d-U-L-E-D L-e-A-v-E!!) with nearly £9,000 raised for a prevention of young suicide charity, and another concerning Alzheimers disease.
....and the launch of her fashion collection three weeks ago.
....and great Twitter comments on her performance in 'Cinderella' earlier this week (before her S-c-h-E-d-U-L-E-D L-e-A-v-E).
Haters gonna hate.

Interval Reminding myself that I paid too much money for this ticket to leave now and that it's hard to imagine second part could be worst. At least it will be shorter I hope. Cast all singing fine on top form and the only thing making this bearable. The are pantomimes across the land this Christmas which will knock this out the water. So sad that the man who has brought so many musical high marks considered this worthy.
