The issue also is the last minute cancellation. If there is genuine medical reasons and I am sure she has the best doctors , they should advise her to cancel or at least cancel in advance if she is unable to do back to back shows. On another matter I just got an e mail from ticketmaster:
Madonna : Madame X Tour - The London Palladium Hi there,
Your tickets still aren't ready yet...
The event organisers are still working with us on a few final details before we can make your tickets available.
We know you’re eager to have them in your hands, so we’re working hard to have this completed as soon as possible – we’ll email you again once they’re ready.
Thanks again for your patience and we hope you enjoy the show!
Well as she is scheduled to do the day before my show on Feb 9th, I don't think it likely I will have a show. Just hope it's before 7.30 pm on the night of the show before I find out so I can make other arrangements!

I just received the same email from ticketmaster. I think my show is the 3rd in a row before she has a day off, so its unlikely mine will go on as planned. I just wish we knew so I could arrange alternative entertainment as I cant cancel my hotel so I'll still be coming to London

I can't imagine cancellations happen lightly. There will be so much pressure to go on.
So sad for those fans who have paid a fortune for non refundable flights/trains/hotels etc for an event which will now not happen.

Still lots and lots of tickets on sale for this.....shame she can’t shift that £500 ticket price and guessing now she is cancelling all the time that they won’t sell. Suppose it’s better playing to empty seats than real fans. Oh well, seen the whole show on YouTube now anyway

Are they offering exchanges to fans with tickets for the cancelled show? Surely it's better to fill up the other nights, even if there is a difference in ticket price. Or are they just giving refunds and telling fans to rebook?

As far as I am aware they are just giving refunds. I guess its logistically much easier to do that and let those who want to rebook to do so given the tight timescale involved.

I imagine that if you’re willing to pay £500 upwards for a ticket, you won’t baulk at paying far more than that for a hotel room (and transportation) for the night you’re seeing it (especially if rumours of a 3 a.m. finish are/were true) : ok so the ticket money will be refunded but I can’t even begin to imagine how pissed off I would be at spending an absolute fortune only for the whole thing to fall apart so close to showtime: surely she must be able to get proper medical advice about whether or not she can carry on with this rather than the vague promises she’s been wheeling out? I had an email last week offering tickets but I have no intention of paying £600 to see anyone, let alone someone who doesn’t seemed that arsed about her fan base.

With the cancellations I wonder whether Madonna needs to re-evaluate how her live shows are worked. She may now be eligible for an Older Persons Oyster Card but she has always been a fitness fanatic and looked after herself. There are performers well into their 70's and older who are still playing live and they have burnt the candle much more than Madge.
Maybe she just needs to concentrate on the singing and cut back on all the dancing if she still wants to be an ongoing live attraction. The likes of Cher who is 12 years older than Madge has been doing a recent big tour and seems to have got the balance between visual and performance spot on without overstretching herself.

I imagine she is currently lounging about her hotel room trying to decide what'll get her more headlines tomorrow. Cancelling...coming on at 3am...or being a decent human being and showing up on time x

I imagine it's the 5 hour workouts she did everyday for 20 years that have caused most of her knee troubles. No one needs to exercise that much x

Mobile phones must be placed in secure locked cases? What are you supposed to do for six hours while waiting to see if she shows up?

You'll be too busy enjoying the pre-show party. The post-show unlocking and phone retrieval will be a treat too.

Show started 8.46pm and finished around 11.02pm. Madonna very chatty and the selfie sold for £1500 tonight. No changes, but one song has been cut (and it was a dance number, so fair enough).

Quoting someone else but:
She appeared to be in a great mood - chatting and joking lots with the audience, but she kept stopping herself and saying “I have to get on with the show, there’s an iron curtain coming down on me later, Westminster council have made it very clear to me that I need to finish on time”!!

It’s going to happen at some point.

Her band come on stage play Madonna songs as a pre-show warm up, so there’s that to enjoy. But last night they played to an empty house because everyone was in the bar!
