We're aware that these nominations are a joke right? Rachelle Ann Go is a lovely singer but is not an actress...
Fun Home got NO nominations. Kelli O'Hara DIDN'T get nominated. And that's just for starters.

And that's just for starters. Taking Kelli aside for a second, I think the fact Fun Home got NO nominations is the real indicator of what a joke these awards are. |

Of course, it's all down to who has the biggest fan base.
I'm curious if people vote in every category or just in categories where they have seen a show/play?
Several of the play categories i had not seen any of the plays do didn't vote.

I love that Vicky Vox is in Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for Little Shop of Horrors! I sadly missed it (though I hope we get a transfer!), but I just love that a drag queen is in the Actress catagory!  |

I agree Kelli should be nominated. I haven't seen her live, but everyone (okay, clearly not everyone) seems to loved her in King & I.
Then again, these awards mean nothing; it's just a popularity contest.

Then again, these awards mean nothing; it's just a popularity contest. I didn't enjoy it, but it got the nominations it deserves except Kelli and Ruthie (being nominated for Revival and Costume). I actually wouldn't even be bothered if it hadn't been nominated for Revival either, but it deserves to win Costumes and Ruthie and Kelli should of been nominated. I'll be fine with them getting these four nominations come the Olivier's. |

I agree, everyone thinks I voted for 42nd Street last year for everything, and I only nominated it in 9 catagories 😂😂 but seriously though, I see these fans who do vote for everything for one show and I just find it weird. But that happens with every other show. Well that’s certainly not what I meant at at all (and I also wasn’t talking about voting but the actual nominating). I’m sure many, but not all, Hamilton fans would have nominated the show for as many categories as possible, hence the omission from Set Design is a little surprising - and thus my pondering if the voting shortlists are actually just those with the most nominations, or if they’re tweaked. I’m a huge fan of Heathers, but I neither nominated it for every category nor voted for it in every category it ended up being nominated in. So sorry, when I said “the Hamilton fans” I should have been more specific about it being the type that would nominate/vote for it regardless. |

I’m just glad I’ve seen all the nominees in all the musical categories so can actually make an informed decision and not just for the ones I’ve seen like some of the play categories

I thought this might have been the chance to recognise Tarinn Callender and Obioma Ugoala. |

Don't most drag queens identify as male? I think it’s a real shame that women can’t even have all the spots in the single sex categories. Surprised that The Lehman Trilogy hasn't done well in the nominations. I thought it was excellent.
I was also expecting Antony and Cleopatra in more categories. Oh well, at least Sophie Okonedo is there. Just voted for her.
