Anyone know why none of the Pinter at the Pinter plays are eligible?

>>She's the weakest link in the cast but she is the lead
Hmmm, not sure about that, having now seen Rosalie in COMPANY three times (and her understudy once) and savoured RC's performance on multiple levels. This performance really defines the production and propels it forward with a very real if nuanced urgency as well, and its apparent self-effacement is one of the many reasons that a potentially remote show newly delivers as an emotional knockout. Rosalie will face tough competition from Sharon D Clarke, Kelli O'Hara and Adrienne Warren but I have a feeling she will nonetheless prevail.

Well, after the somewhat predictable WOS Awards fiasco, I can't wait for the serious, real awards, where I hope Company gets Best Revival and Heathers gets ignored.

I don't think they're wildly different to be honest. There were several wins for 'Hamilton' as there were at the Oliviers (including two of the acting categories), Marianne Elliott won as I would imagine she would at the Oliviers, Patti could win at both, Sophie Okonedo has won awards already for 'Carry on Cleo' and will no doubt be nominated at the Oliviers, it's not beyond the realms of possibility to see Vanessa Redgrave and 'The Inheritance' in there. We can always find odd awards to look down on the WOS awards for but we can do the same for the Oliviers too. The Oliviers are littered with just as many howlers as the WOS awards.

Oh @ryan, you'll be the first out there protesting if Patti doesn't get her long awaited Olivier's comeback. 😂

Agreed I shouldn't have said real, got carried away, but I do think they are more serious in a way since professionals do the voting. I'm sure a good percentage of the superfans who voted for Heathers for example, don't see many shows. They just love Heathers and vote for it no matter what category it's up for. I mean, it was nominated for Best Set!

I think the same could be said for the fans who voted for 'Hamilton' too though and 'Harry Potter' a couple of years ago etc etc. And for those who voted for it to win Best Set, perhaps they got confused with voting for the lead actor, who gave quite possibly one of the most wooden performances I think I'd seen on London's glitzy West End for a long time?

Nominations today at 1pm.
I think it's quite an interesting year to see who's up. There's some quite congested categories where you don't know who'll make it, then others where you wonder who they can find to even fill them.

Come From Away dominates! Lots of love for Six and Company too.
Nothing at all for 9 to 5, Heathers, Only Fools and Horses, Strictly Ballroom, and most surprisingly - Hadestown!

Not many surprises in the nominations for me. But Adam Gillen getting nominated for supporting actor and NONE of the boys from The Inheritance!? Come on...

I'm pretty happy with the nominations, although also surprised that there was nothing for Hadestown. Very happy to see a lot of nominations for SiX and Come From Away! There is one glaring omission though and that's Paul Hilton for Supporting Actor. He definitely deserves to be in there - more so than Redgrave deserves to be in Supporting Actress.

Redgrave gave the weakest performance in The Inheritance and Burnap was spectacular- charismatic, moving, funny. Go figure.

If Kyle Soller does not win here against that bunch then there's no hope for the world.

Jamie Muscato was robbed, but then he was always going to get dismissed because of the show. Just a bit sad, because in my opinion he was the one part of Heathers that truly did deserve to be rewarded

Unpopular opinion, but Six getting nominations instead of Hadestown is the biggest joke of the decade.

Has anyone paged @emicardiff about Susan Brown? Or is she already organising her campaign...
