Anne has cleared her Diary. Wow, they are really pushing Miranda out there aren't they?! No pressure girl! In seriousness, it looks great!

Have producers learned nothing about over the title billing? It might work on Broadway where they have a clear policy should the star be out, but its a recipe for disaster over here.

It's not a policy, it's simple good will if you get a refund for the absence of an above-the-title star. If it were some kind of set-in-stone law that any above-the-title star's absence automatically led to refunds, there's not a producer in the land that would run a risk that was so easily mitigated by simply putting the name below the title.

Maybe "policy" is the wrong word, but I've never read of people not being able to get a refund for an above the title star on Broadway. Not like Close/Smith recently in London. Close was out of Sunset yesterday and refunds were being given to those who would rather not see the show without her. The same will be true if Bette Midler calls out of a scheduled Dolly performance, or Patti/Christine called out of War Paint (refunds were given the other week when Patti was out) But anyway, back to Annie

So the leading lady would have the power to bankrupt the show if she didn't get her way during the run on any issue she fancied?

I would be quite surprised if Miranda missed a performance of Annie. Sheridan's situation was different to Glenn's but both Fanny Brice and Norma Desmond are high pressure roles in very demanding shows. Miss Hannigan however is a bit of a laugh and she doesn't lead the whole show. On a side note, I think Miranda will do it very well. The photos of her in rehearsals have looked like she's really got into the character

It's really tricky finding Miranda Hart's final performance date. Are the Producers hoping to con people into booking in the Autumn when in fact they'll be seeing someone else? There was talk of it being September 17th but I just can't find it anywhere.

I would be quite surprised if Miranda missed a performance of Annie. Well she's missed enough Call The Midwife. She left the programme ages ago didn't she?

Well she's missed enough Call The Midwife. She left the programme ages ago didn't she? She was supposed to have been in the last series but "scheduling conflicts" put pay to that. They had to rewrite.

Looks like we may be getting a Cast Recording or at least a track, could possibly just be vocals for the trailer too... Benjamin Mundy put an instagram up with ensemble members Patrick Harper, Nic Gibney and Ben Harrold. http://instagram.com/p/BUFPhAVFIop

Yeah, I agree with sistermaryann, producers are rather stingy in the UK in that we hardly ever get revival cast recordings, I'd definitely hedge my bets on it being for click-tracks!

I dunno, this is the first major revival in about 20 years of the show in London, and also there has never been a London Cast Recording so its not completely out of the possibilities is it?

I can't say I'm too bothered if there's a cast recording or not but damn that's one very handsome ensemble

You're right, definitely could be a possibility! Just don't know what the demand for a new Cast Recording would be, the Broadway revival one isn't *that* old. But hey, if they release it, I'll get it!

Aren't they a bit old to be playing the orphans?

There's no way they'd record an album or even a track in the rehearsal room.

They were recording click tracks. I saw it on someone else's instagram. I think it was Patrick Harper's.
