The thing is, even if Miranda Hart (the most unfunny woman in the U.K.) gets slated it will not affect her career. Some people are untouchable. This woman sells out arenas. A little over generous there. Many of the arena shows on her tour had huge curtained off areas of seating and swathes of empty seats in what was left Given she spends about 10p On the show Even a 1/4 full arena Will be about 5-6 thousand people Plenty of money for her Given The Girls struggles to sell 500 seats per night

Wait a minute- this show is offering kids tickets half price everywhere so it can't be selling that well. I hope the reviews are terrible, it deserves it. When is Press Night mrbarnaby? Monday 5th June - I'm looking forward to seeing it! Thout it was good on tour - it went down well with the families anyway. Press Night probably won't be predominately families so will be intrigued to see how it goes down.

Having your Press Night on a Monday must be tough as you haven't quite got into the swing of it as you've had a day off....I wish them well though

Quick question, when Grace tells everyone that Billionaire Warbucks is looking to adopt an orphan, is it OK to put your hand up if you are in stalls row B? and with both parents sitting beside you? Just asking for a friend, you understand. Didn't Michael Jackson adopt a chimp? So maybe you could persuade Warbucks that adopting someone of the simian persuasion is the in thing for billionaires! ;-)

Whilst
Various
"Five star rave"
Shows are sh*tting
Their pants
At half empty auditoria
This is selling out
Not discounting
And will make the producers a huge profit

Selling out- till everyone hears how rubbish it is. Is this one if yours then Parsley? Any real fur in this? It's watching shows like this That makes you realise the injustices in life And that despite society and the govement Peddling sh*t like All people are equals You have clear evidence that is not the case Just how this is even in the WE Astounds me A f***ing disgrace There is a scene which sums it up Some steps come from the back And 8 people try to tap dance THE IRONY Words fail me If this is what people desire in the WE And are happy to pay £95 Do you know what? Put me at the TOP of the snob list I am above shows like this That things like 42nd Street and even AAIP Are struggling Over something like this Words fail me Cast a lumbering woman With the physique of a man Acting like a Tw*t Who doesn't even pretend to want to be able to sing It's a dark day

Selling out- till everyone hears how rubbish it is. Is this one if yours then Parsley? Any real fur in this? I would rather flush money down the toilet And then pay for it to be unblocked I quite think it's the worst thing I have ever seen I left after 60 mins Could not even make it to the interval But amazingly as the audience are so relaxed and generous Spent most of the first hour looking at the internet and eating salted caramel crispy treats With zero objections You were 100% right on this one Mr B And before people start sh*tting themselves That I don't like anything At least I make the effort to see everything Despite getting slapped in the face so often I am generous in my time to these shows I had more fun this afternoon having a tube shoved up my bum for a CT scan It's shows like this which make me want to stop bothering with theatre

I saw the same show as mrbarnaby. Strange. Had he stayed for act 2 the would have seen a massive standing ovation from what felt like the whole of the theatre, definitely the entire stalls. There was a family next to me and the dad was singing along to tomorrow in the finale like his life depended on it! Hilarious. He saw riverdance, I saw an apple seller begging for sales through tap. It's only Annie - not that mentally taxing. Crikey - No one let him have Tickets for a Pinter play. Those bitter queens won't make it past the first scene! I'm going again after previews - which it is still in for another week. Not going to comment on individual performances as it's still in previews. I think it's fair they are allowed to settle in. Not a sentiment shared by mrbarnaby. I'm guessing he is a failed performer, or perhaps an active performer that didn't get the job, either way, shocked at such a different opinion from the same show. Usually just read this board and don't get active, but that was so unfair I decided to comment. People also rush and push others out of the way To buy items on sale And stale food Humans are selfish animals and bitches Mr B Has some standards I would rather leave acting than star in sh*t like this

I am not done yet
The sound is possibly the worst on record for a WE musical
Almost all the lyrics are inaudible
The children are so shrill
But even the adults suffer from the sound
The set is so cheap with Christmas lights
And wobbles all over the place The beds rocking manically as they were jumped on
The acting is drab and lifeless and too weak to be even termed acting yet neither knowingly ironic so that it might be interpreted as a panto
The choreography
Just lame
They don't even make any effort
And Miranda Hart
It's like a rip off hybrid from Edina and Patsy from Ab Fab
Her accent is all over the place
She doesn't even bother after a while
Her acting is shocking
But the singing
My god
It just shows
Some people just cannot be taught to sing And to even mention this show
In the same breath
As Matilda
Even School of Rock
🤢

I'd like to see quotes like "The worst performance ever seen on a London Stage" pasted on her picture outside the theatre

You're not known as a singer, did you have to do much vocal preparation ahead of rehearsals? Yes, hold on to your hats London, I am singing for the first time. I played the piano when I was younger, so I am musical and could always hold a tune, but enjoying the odd harmony at a carol concert is very different to what you have to prepare for when reaching a large West End theatre. I've worked hard to learn new skills necessary to sing, I knew it would be quite a challenge but the musical director assured me, before I had signed on the dotted line to do the part, that he thought I could get there. So blame him if it all goes t*ts up! I am now really enjoying it, especially as it's all about singing in character, so hopefully all will be okay. (Excuse me whilst I just crawl in to a little worried ball on the sofa…)

I guess I've lucked out (first time since election results) being in the US. I had no idea who she was.
I loved the movie. How could I not? Carol Burnett (grew up with her on TV), Bernadette Peters who had one of the best lines ever in a movie (The Jerk, "I don't care about losing all the money. It's losing all the stuff.") and Tim F**cking Curry. Crowing no less!!! So I just was not terribly impressed when I saw the ads and they seemed to be making a big deal over her.
I dodged the bullet.

The sound is possibly the worst on record for a WE musical Almost all the lyrics are inaudible . . . I'm sorry, but for some strange reason this is quite possibly one of my favourite posts for ages. I can just imagine parsley on a soapbox outside of the Piccadilly . . . "I am not done yet" . . I don't know whether it's the sunny morning or my martini breakfast but I have laughed for ages at that one line. Thank you @parsley. You really have brightened my morning.

On a more serious note though I do find it depressing that this croc of old sh*** should be doing so well in London's "glittering West End". With the touring set and costumes the producers must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Goodness @parsley that was a rant of almost Patti-esque proportions. Marvellous! Just to incense you even more, I liked it in Manchester. I thought it was cute Hope your bum's ok! x p.s pull back on the caramel crispies. There's a diabetes epidemic in case you hadn't heard!
