Do I splash out 80 squid for AA? Oh for the days when it opened and we got those seats for £15 I suppose when you think of all the money we have saved paying only 15/20 quid for our multiple visits to this show - we could afford to splash out? You know I think you are right. I've been 7 times so far so have saved a fortune. It can be my Christmas present to myself.

How much more expensive have they made the tickets for this final performance? I’ve only ever bought my tickets through TodayTix rush before. Managed to snap up A0 for this final performance though, I can deal with limited legroom especially considering the saving I’m making on the seats near it. Top price non-premium is £82.50 - up from £65 on a weeknight in December. Those front corner stalls seats only went up a few pounds though - from £25 to £29.50 I've noticed that the schedule for the final week is two shows every day from Wednesday to Saturday, and with the extra matinees as part of the Xmas schedule the week before, the cast are really going to be put through their paces in their final weeks! Wow, that is quite an increase then! I know Kinky increased their prices but only from £69.50 (weekdays) / £75 (weekends) to £79.50 on their closing night. Glad I managed to book when I did, especially as I hadn’t seen Baz’s tweets confirming Bonnie taking over as Dorothy and the shows closure until about 9:45 this morning. That is quite a schedule, I really do feel for them. Have noticed that they’ve got the Tuesday (1st) off, so I guess it is only one extra show but 4 double show days?! They’ve got some stamina those guys (and they’ll need it!)

Getting so annoyed with the single seat issue - I'm trying to get one of the last row AA seats but it won't let me leave a single! Do they sell single seats over the phone to avoid that issue?

Damm won't let me take 1 seat as leaves 1 spare. Looks like I'll have to go back a row or go up to royal circle for same price. Have to say I've not sat up there for the show. I like being close but overall view is going to be better I guess 1 level up. Decisions, decisions.

They’re never going to take that staircase out on tour are they? How much scaling down will they have to do? And will it still be anything like the fabulousness of the London production? I’m worried... 😟

I just called box office to see if they would sell 1. They said yes but as he was trying someone nabbed them. There are still A2 and 3 and A21 and 22 available which is one row bsck but no oneed in front as it's the side

They’ll have to redesign the suspended mirror scene because there’ll be no revolve on tour.

Loved this show back in April but the theatre is in need of a refurb nothing had changed since I saw Charlie and the chocolate factory in there. Glad it's getting some TLC. I think long refurb frozen will pull an Aladdin and open May/June 2020 to bring in the summer tourists. This will be perfect to advertise around Christmas. I give Motown and bat till next summer end of August at least bat I think has a while left whereas Motown is going on tour will they want to keep it in town and tour it at the same time. This will give the chance for Waitress not for the dominion but for the Piccadilly at least. I think strictly will close end of Sep this year to make way for it. and Dear even Hansen will finally open at the safsbury or Anastasia. Mean girls is for the savoy wear as for the Adelphi I think waitress or a jukebox musical from New York (summer/Cher) or Mary poppins. *Shaftesbury

So update on last performance. All of AA have gone. Quite a few in A left. Very nice man in box office let me have A4 (as won't let you book single ticket online). Leaves A3 if anyone wants a single.

Thank you - will try that now! Edit: A2 was the single left so I have booked that, thanks for sorting! Looks as if it will be a big theatreboard meet up that night!

Yes sorry got my numbers mixed up as there is an A0. So I've got A3 and looking forward to meeting you. I'm well behaved and don't hog the armrest or singalong (well not too loudly. Glad you got seat sorted.

Because it’s only used in two numbers (iirc) and one of those is to move a piano. I can’t see the bean counters letting that one through! I’m racking my brains to remember if I’ve EVER seen a revolve used at The Palace MCR and I can’t think of one at least in recent years. Did the original Les Mes tour have one?

Dirty Dancing apparently! If Dirty bloody Dancing can have a revolve then 42 St must certainly have one.

There has been a fold out staircase for every major tour of 42nd street. what makes this one so thrilling us that it's built for the huge Drury Lane stage and fills it.
Excited to see Bonnie but disappointed she's leaving EE. Hopefully she can come back to it at some point as she has been outstanding.
Bonnie was a the first actress I saw sing some of Little Red, from ITW at a Sondheim gala many years ago.

Rather gutted that I'll be the other end of the country when closing night eventually comes round, but happy I'll be able to squeeze in a few more visits before it does. And Bonnie... fabulous!

Do we know that Bonnie's with the show from Sept until closing or is there room to squeeze in one more bit of 'star casting' if Bonnie did, say, Sept-Nov and a final Dorothy from Nov-Jan?

I would have thought it was a 4 month contract until closing on the 5th January. Bonnie Langford is a seasoned pantomime performer though, and her stock must have risen considerably by being in EastEnders and it wouldn't have surprised me if QDOS had offered her a huge amount of cash to do a 4 week panto stint somewhere. Random thought - has Bonnie Langford every done Strictly? I would have thought she would fit the lovely Debbie McGee slot perfectly!!
