Bonnie Langford should never be allowed to do strictly. I draw the line at THAT level of professional dance experience. That was her career for MANY years, she doesnt need training.
She is contracted through to the shows close

Do we know that Bonnie's with the show from Sept until closing or is there room to squeeze in one more bit of 'star casting' if Bonnie did, say, Sept-Nov and a final Dorothy from Nov-Jan? No idea. I would have thought it was a 4 month contract until closing on the 5th January. Bonnie Langford is a seasoned pantomime performer though, and her stock must have risen considerably by being in EastEnders and it wouldn't have surprised me if QDOS had offered her a huge amount of cash to do a 4 week panto stint somewhere. Random thought - has Bonnie Langford every done Strictly? I would have thought she would fit the lovely Debbie McGee slot perfectly!! Yes that's a good point about panto - but then I wonder what she's on for 42nd Street.....the producers certainly aren't strapped for cash, and it's in a massive theatre in the heart of London's West End! As for Strictly, well surely that shouldn't be allowed? I know Debbie was trained in ballet when she was younger, but she's not necessarily known for being a dancer or performer (albeit a magician's assistant is performing!), and whilst Bonnie now may be known to a certain audience as being 'just' from Eastenders, it can definitely be said that she's made her name in theatre, especially as a dancer, and she's been continuously dancing and performing up to this very day, so it seems, so personally I think it would be hugely unfair for her to compete! I know she did Dancing On Ice, but that's a different skill altogether!

At the beginning of boulevard of broken dreams what's the middle word of "misery... something... sorrow"
Sorry for the change of topic but I have never been able to make it out.

Going back to the single seat dilemma for the date I wanted, I tried out the old trick of different browsers - reserving A0 on Internet Explorer, then going onto Chrome and booking A1 next to it. No problem, sorted!

Other theatre performers or people who have had dance training did Strictly. Denise Van Outen, Claire Sweeney spring to mind. But Bonnie was virtually a pro dancer - don't forget she was in the Hot Shoe Show with Wayne Sleep on the BBC many years ago. But Gymnasts are allowed in and they do floor routines, so I'd think Bonnie could be a legit option as she is in her mid 50's now.
Does anyone know if Bonnie's daughter is following in the family footsteps - she must be about 17 now.

No problem, sorted! Aah, different browsers do the trick... I opened a second window in my browser and that didn't help. So I got an online friend to put A24 into his basket on the other side of the world, then bought A23 for me and he let A24 time out.

Or so what I did and call the box office They let me have a single seat Worked out well as another forum member was able to book the other so everyone was happy.

Not really an option for me from abroad, sadly. Phone fee for calling from abroad, plus difficulty with spoken English on the phone make not a good mix

Managed to grab good seats for the last two shows (row AA for the matinee, row A for the evening performance). More than I'd usually pay, but it's worth it.
I know it's a few months away, but a lot of us going, so maybe we could get a Theatreboard coffee or something between the shows?

And from the comments it looks as if most of us at the evening show are sitting in the same 2 rows. We should have clubbed together and got a group discount.

Yes the final performance is expensive, but I doubt I'll see a show that delights me as much as this one for a long time, so I've splashed out for front row Stalls at the final show. I'm sure there'll be quite a few Theatreboard-ers there! The show's twitter has also confirmed that the renovations of TRDL will begin after closing: See you in the front row! It will be a hell of a night full of super fans.

I suppose when you think of all the money we have saved paying only 15/20 quid for our multiple visits to this show - we could afford to splash out? You know I think you are right. I've been 7 times so far so have saved a fortune. It can be my Christmas present to myself. Money well spent!

CJ has Tweeted "Anyone that wanted to see my Maggie Jones, I’ll be on for a week from 6-11th August".

It does seem the right time of year to close and the refurbishment has been widely trailed but “Final extension.” , sounds a bit like “Farewell Tour”. Anyone know anymore that confirms this is really the last chance to see it?

Every other time, board members just made assumptions from the length of the extension, it was never previously confirmed like this.

They had better close on the 5th Jan. I've forked out a lot of money for my ticket. 😁

All you ‘Streeters in the first couple of rows for the final show, be nice to a newbie who’s been used to being in grand circle on previous occasions

I've splashed out too but the front row the is gone so I've gone for trusty C6. Its on the aisle and faces the stage just at the right place where no one is in your way because of the space in the aisle. Sat there three times already, love it!
