So 42nd Street and Chicago both close January 5th (unless a transfer for Chicago), Kinky Boots and Dreamgirls close January 12th.
It’s going to be a quiet month!
What do we think are the chances of Strictly Ballroom, Bat Out of Hell and Motown running much past then?

Does anyone know when this final extension is likely to go on sale?

Gutted I won’t make it to this before if closes but with it touring it’ll probably reach me at some point, I hope to some extent some of the cast continue with it as I’ve heard good things about a lot of them

The West End is going to be a much sadder place without this show in it.

I don't watch EastEnders but friends tell me she was/is very good in it. She is sensationally good in it in my opinion. I don't think I have seen such a genuine portrayal of grief on TV for a long time (particularly in a fast moving soap).

Great news for Bonnie. She will certainly do the part justice and will end the show in style.

She (Bonnie) has been stunning in EE and will be sorely missed but fantastic in 42nd St.Her return to Drury Lane reminds me she played Scarlett O'Hara's daughter (also Bonnie) in the musical version of Gone With The Wind when she was very young and (slightly) obnoxious. This production also had a live horse who "misbehaved" all over the stage on the opening night. When asked what he thought of the show Noel Coward remarked "Shove that awful child up the horse's arse and you've got a hit!"

I still remember being so impressed with Ms Langford's Mabel in Pirates, singing that devilishly hard Poor Wand'ring One whilst dancing and throwing her leg casually over her shoulder at the same time....and being joyously funny and warm. To think back to Pamela Stephenson who, before her, well.....

Well good and bad news. Sorry to hear the end is nigh but it's had a damm good run for such a big show and brilliant news about Bonnie. Absolutely love her, a proper west end trooper. A few more visits for me then

The irony that Dorothy can’t dance though. Would love to see Bonnie on that staircase, no doubt she could still give the ensemble a run for their money.

Loved this show back in April but the theatre is in need of a refurb nothing had changed since I saw Charlie and the chocolate factory in there. Glad it's getting some TLC. I think long refurb frozen will pull an Aladdin and open May/June 2020 to bring in the summer tourists. This will be perfect to advertise around Christmas. I give Motown and bat till next summer end of August at least bat I think has a while left whereas Motown is going on tour will they want to keep it in town and tour it at the same time. This will give the chance for Waitress not for the dominion but for the Piccadilly at least. I think strictly will close end of Sep this year to make way for it. and Dear even Hansen will finally open at the safsbury or Anastasia. Mean girls is for the savoy wear as for the Adelphi I think waitress or a jukebox musical from New York (summer/Cher) or Mary poppins.

Looking forward to seeing Bonnie in this, she’ll be fabulous I’m sure. Just booked a ticket for closing night, very glad it’s a different evening to Kinky Boots and Dreamgirls! But the West End is definitely going to be a quiet place without these shows.

Any info/guesses on how quickly the tour will start once it closes up shop in London?

They've hiked the prices for the final performance I see. Getting to be a habit (whoops!) with final shows - Kinky has done the same. But I'll still go!

Yes the final performance is expensive, but I doubt I'll see a show that delights me as much as this one for a long time, so I've splashed out for front row Stalls at the final show. I'm sure there'll be quite a few Theatreboard-ers there!
The show's twitter has also confirmed that the renovations of TRDL will begin after closing:

How much more expensive have they made the tickets for this final performance? I’ve only ever bought my tickets through TodayTix rush before. Managed to snap up A0 for this final performance though, I can deal with limited legroom especially considering the saving I’m making on the seats near it.

Top price non-premium is £82.50 - up from £65 on a weeknight in December. Those front corner stalls seats only went up a few pounds though - from £25 to £29.50 I've noticed that the schedule for the final week is two shows every day from Wednesday to Saturday, and with the extra matinees as part of the Xmas schedule the week before, the cast are really going to be put through their paces in their final weeks!

Do I splash out 80 squid for AA? Oh for the days when it opened and we got those seats for £15 I suppose when you think of all the money we have saved paying only 15/20 quid for our multiple visits to this show - we could afford to splash out?
