All that proves is the gun was fired. Not where the bullets ended up.
And how did Ryan not bleed?

My understanding is that when someone is shot by a police person in UK there is an enquiry albeit within the service. Everything in Lof D happens in super quick time.
By the way, has everyone been watching the bent coppers three parter on BBC, even more jaw dropping than LofD. Real times, real crimes, real bent coppers. Horrifying.

I watched the first one which was about vice in Soho in the 70s. More for seeing if I recognised any of the places. It was very interesting and didn't surprise me at all about the corruption at that time. I agree about how quickly everything happens in Line of Duty. Our police forces would love lab results and phone downloads to come back quickly but they have a lot to fit in in an hour.

The documentary was very good and very troubling. The fact that they never fully cleaned out all the corrupt coppers from the 70s meant they never properly reset the culture.

All that proves is the gun was fired. Not where the bullets ended up. And how did Ryan not bleed? She shot him twice in the chest at close range. If one of Kate’s bullets went through/stopped his heart, would he bleed out without it pumping the blood?

The end is in sight. Six hours from now, we'll... probably be even more confused and have more questions than answers! Bring it on 😁

What a damp squib of a finale. They might as well have had a 10-second episode saying 'it was him'. Hardly anything else happened! No tension, no twist? Unless I'm majorly missing something? Not sure that was worth investing 7 hours in this time around!

I'm really confused about Fairbank. I thought they were implying he was H. Nothing was really concluded there.

What a great ending.
"AC12 is weaker than it has ever been". Could it have ended any other way? Callbacks to every series, Steve and Kate sorting themselves out, Ted is the pillar of integrity to the end and Buckells gets his comeuppance, of sorts. What I love is that it didn't cheat. He'd been there right from series 1. And how brilliant that he isn't some Machiavellien schemer but an idiot that got lucky.
Also can we applaud how well directed the scene of him being brought in was? Maximum tension

What a damp squib of a finale. Have to agree with that. The ending was very poor and the bringing in of Buckells to the interview was bordering on comedic. The worst series so far with the overhype leading to a very poor finale. Others will probably differ but to my mind when something is this hyped up it almost always disappoints.

But we're still to think there was someone else helping him to all those promotions right?
Right up to the last minute I was waiting for Ted to have a heart attack or an armed balaclaver to burst into the lift.
Need to process this one now as my brain slowly thinks of things.

The lack of a twist was the twist. We've been spoiled each series. This wasn't about a twist, it would have robbed the episode of its integrity. This was about tying up six series of plot.

An Average Finale to an Average Series. No Series 7 Thank You.

I’ve spent the past couple of weeks watching the whole series, and I’m glad I did, as even though I’ve watched it from the beginning there was so much I’d forgotten.
I quite liked the end. (Though I did not like the dodgy CGI lift scene.) This is not a series that was ever going to have a triumphant happy ending, and I don’t get why people would expect one. It’s certainly a much more satisfying ending than Bodies had.

I blame Dot. His podcast rather helped build the hype for a distressing and dramatic ending.
And we got a different sort of distress.

Also who signed off that cringey CGI lift shot at the end?! Dreadful.
