On the Instagram story from the Theatre Cafe account Cassidy Janson has done a Q&A saying that she’s signed up to appear in a new London bound musical but is obliged to keep the name a secret. I guess it’s not specifically West End but is possible... Let the speculation begin! would be very shocked if it were something other than Waitress

If we can throw a cheeky Broadway prediction in here:
1959 - 1961 (Ethel Merman Production) 1974 - 1975 (Angela Lansbury Production) 1989 - 1991 (Tyne Daly Production) 2003 - 2004 (Bernadette Peters Production) 2008 - 2009 (Patti LuPone Production)
Gypsy! I know it's been long-term rumour that Imelda will head over to Broadway with the show, but clearly nothing has come of that yet and looking at those years, we are pretty due to see a Broadway production in the not too distant right? Considering the longest time between runs is 14 years and the shortest is 4 years, and we are verging on a decade now, it must be happening soon?

Maybe this is just me, but...
I feel a short-ish run of Pippin would be cool in the Dominion! They set could look spectacular!

Based on the recent Broadway revival, you men? I am surprised this version never found its way to London (despite the various smaller production of Pippin) but I think again, the Dominion is challenging. Although Pippin might be known to people in musical theatre circles, and might even grab the Wicked fans, it's still not such a huge brand that would or could fill (or partially fill) the large Dominion. I think it's a good idea for a smaller theatre as it goes through transitions with shows, though.

Whilst I know that the London transfer of Finding Neverland is probably dead in the water by now, it recently occurred to me that Jordan Fox would make an excellent JM Barrie (plus he could keep that gorgeous beard of his).

I've been wanting this to come over for the longest time. I fear though, with the Weinstein issues, it may well be dead in the water. I agree Jordan Fox would be fabulous, and he's due a leading role after his amazing performance in Kinky Boots!

Finding Neverland would also be a welcome return for Laura Michelle Kelly (if she were to return to the show!). She hasn't done a musical in London since Lord of The Rings when she left in 2008! That is way too long without Laura (obviously I know she's got her upcoming concert, but still!).

I really loved Finding Neverland, and I think it would do well. Surprised it hasn't even made it over in the form of a UK tour like Addams/Wonderland etc. I'm also disappointed that we have yet to see Something Rotten over here.

That'd be great casting! Why thank you. If I might be allowed to blow my own trumpet for a second, I have a knack of this dream casting lark. I believe I was also one of the first here to herald Marisha Wallace in the role of Waitress’ Becky, and Rebecca Lock in DEH’s Heidi Hansen too (though I could be wrong). Get me on a casting panel, stat #justsaying. I’ll go back to being humble again now.

So that's the shaftesbury filled then. I believe we still have The Savoy and The Piccadilly needing a show later this year?

So sad that there's not a murmur over Flowers For Mrs Harris, what seems to be a classy and beautiful musical with an original score written for the stage.

The announcement of Jamie touring in 2020 has made me wonder if we will see the Apollo have a new show in by then. Jamie doesn't come across the kind of this that would survive both a tour and West End production running at the same time.

I imagine with the Vaudeville taken up by Mischief for the year, they probably want the Apollo free for plays again

There is a big gap between Emilia and Mischeif Theatre's stuff. Could be hoping that the former extends, but would make a nice summer gap to bring something in.

Yes, highly doubt it would remain empty during July and August. Could certainly see Emilia extending, or something transferring in from the Dorfman/Young Vic for a short run.

I wonder if Carrie, Celinde, Ramin and Ben meeting could be something to do with Les Mis? Cameron seems to be hinting that we’ll have a slightly special cast for the Gielgud run and obviously Carrie, Ramin and Celinde have all been in the show before and pretty well liked in their parts. And Ramin hasn’t done Valjean in the UK yet has he?? Is there a part that Ben could step into though?

oh please no O.o yes to Ramin and Celinde but Ben? did not like his voice in Phantom at all (and his overacting, that was funny in not funny parts) - guessing for Javert? please no Carrie was good the first year but then only screamed instead of singing
somehow glad i will see it before it leaves the Queens

Ben as Javert is wrong and there are no other roles for him in the show?

The only response that Carrie acknowledged on her photo was someone saying “Maybe it’s something new we haven’t heard of before, rather than people guessing shows”. I know it’s not concrete evidence but who knows at this point if it’s relevant. As for the Dominion rearstallsloiterer could we have a teeny bit more information? Is it new work, a transfer or a revival? Thanks!
