I wonder if Carrie, Celinde, Ramin and Ben meeting could be something to do with Les Mis? Cameron seems to be hinting that we’ll have a slightly special cast for the Gielgud run and obviously Carrie, Ramin and Celinde have all been in the show before and pretty well liked in their parts. And Ramin hasn’t done Valjean in the UK yet has he?? Is there a part that Ben could step into though? Yes Ramin played Valjean here before he went to Toronto and Broadway with it. I do wonder if the Gielgud run will be some sort of admit staged concert type set up with various 'dream casts' Ramin has said he doesn't want to do a big show for a while plus he is now on Holby so not sure he would have the time

I think Ramin, Carrie, and Celinde all worked together previously in Les Mis in London; and Celinde and Ben in Phantom. So I suspect it may be more of a personal project they're planning - a concert or something - rather than all being cast together in a show.

The only response that Carrie acknowledged on her photo was someone saying “Maybe it’s something new we haven’t heard of before, rather than people guessing shows”. I know it’s not concrete evidence but who knows at this point if it’s relevant. As for the Dominion rearstallsloiterer could we have a teeny bit more information? Is it new work, a transfer or a revival? Thanks! it's 2 shows! 1 is a transfer (think large) and 1 is a revival (think small!?

How is small going to work in one of the biggest theatres in London? Doesn't make much sense to me?

How is small going to work in one of the biggest theatres in London? Doesn't make much sense to me. you are thinking far too literally! That aside if one applied that logic how can Sweet Charity possibly fit in the Donmar? Because theatre is magical and mercifully there are people who have imaginations the size of a cruise Liner.

It's Big (the musical) isn't it.

Anastasia just dropped a big hint that it might be heading to West End soon. With the Broadway production closing soon the set could easily be shipped over instead of building a new set.

I agree the West End is possible as it's next venture. Don't get too excited though. We've had announcement stuff like this happen before and it turn out to just be something like Australia or Germany. 😂😂

Sorry to burst people’s bubbles but the posts after I assume are referring to the US tour.
However one can hope! Wouldn’t it be great!

Now would be a great time for it as it appeals to a very different market to the other new shows like 9 to 5/Waitress. There hasn’t been a new West End musical open recently which was specifically aimed at “kids”.

Anastasia was capitalized for up to $15 million, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission; it has not recouped its capitalization costs. It will not come to the West End.

Imo none of this suggests it coming to the West End. They tweeted US tour dates right after, maybe the two are linked?

I still don't think Anastasia will come over to the UK anytime soon, I'm surprised a fair few people think it will. With the Broadway production not recouping and the film not being as known a family one as others, it will have to compete with the likes of Mary Poppins and Frozen and I would imagine of those three, this would be the one to get washed away.

Sweat is going into the Gielgud for a limited run of 50 performances between Company and Les Mis.

Not really appropriate as a prediction as it’s coming from a notoriously unreliable source, but Falsettos is reported as coming to TOP by false-news expert, Carl Woodward.

Any updates on the Dominion? It's a good question. Obviously I have no understanding of the economics in question but as they don't seem to be using it, surely they could have let Bat continue. It really wasn't selling that badly.....

I assume it could have waited (it's been in situ for decades after all), but when I was round the back of the Dominion a few weeks ago (stop it!), it was being stripped of asbestos.
Now they've started, they probably think it's best to finish the job, once and for all, even if it means being dark for an extended period.
