Really speedy refund from DMT+ for Dec 29 whereas ATG have carried on shifting things around so I have theatre booked into the next millenium. They have cancelled my ‘Addams Family’ booking as they’ve reduced the run to Weds-Sat, but used my credit straight away to rebook for a later show. It’s too lovely a show to miss.

Yeah, I'm booked for the 15th. There's not a hope in hell.

23rd January for me. I want to be optimistic and hope for the best, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I'm the 6th of February and think...not a chance

Was really trying to stay positive about this (as I do for pretty much all musicals happening - I really need to learn to be realistic!) but watching the news this morning, I now really can't see it happening in January :-( God I hope I am wrong! They seem to think tier 4 could be with us for the foreseeable.
February - who knows! I do wonder, will there come a point where they just think s** it and cancel the run, or will they just extend through March? Fair enough they may not be able to keep Ball and Boe, but the Feb sales did show that they don't need these names to sell out a socially distanced auditorium. And can't imagine most of the cast would have other commitments in March. They could even spill over in to April. And indeed May, as cast for the full reopening won't need to be in the theatre for the first few weeks of rehearsals. (I mean will the full show be up in time? A separate discussion I guess....)
I also wonder if, compared to the first run, most of the ticket holders are less just there for Ball and Boe and more just desperate to see the show itself whoever is in it. The amount of seats that went to DMT+ presale and the other presale would suggest to me the latter. Meaning not securing them for a postponed run would be less of a PR problem than it would have been last time.

Not a chance in hell of January or February. And even if it was running, why on earth would any of you bother going? You would be contributing to the spread of Covid19. Baffling.

A real shame. I was hoping to see it this month, but that's gone down the drain. And yeah, it's highly unlikely it will reopen in February.

Restrictions are continuing until March at least, so they won’t be opening mid Feb!

Just had my e-mail for this. Extended to April 11th. Options given are exchange to new date, voucher, refund.
Good organisation from DMT as ever. I really hope they do get this up and running at some point. I opted for an exchange.
They said they cannot guarantee the cast, but that's irrelevant to me - honestly couldn't care who is in it, just wanna be inside that theatre :-)

Good organisation from DMT as ever. Except for the people who couldn't afford the expensive tickets in the first place and were evicted when the social distancing rules tightened. I don't blame them for focusing on profitability, but I do blame them for not being transparent about it. That is not good customer service at all.

I exchanged my ticket for a new booking in April, fingers crossed...almost didn't book again though because it's so disappointing to keep booking things and not get to go.
At least they've contacted customers, some of the other stuff I've booked which I know won't be happening is still live for bookings.

Yeah I must admit I did umm and ahh a bit in terms of just getting a refund, as so fed up of things being endlessly cancelled. Decided in the end though that as was such a nightmare getting tickets for this in the first place, that if it did go ahead in April, I'd like to be there. As usual, keeping everything crossed :-)

Now cancelled up until 28/02. Can rebook between 02/03-08/04 which isn’t a big window! I thought they might have added another month.

At this point, I doubt they want to continue waiting to put on this staged concert. They might just open it back up with the full production once everything clears. Pulling it completely might not be all that great financially – if cameron eventually puts ticket holders into full production seats then he saves having to do a monster refund? Or if the reopening of the full production is delayed then this might be able to run in lieu.

Is this sung in a lower key than written? It has much less of a ‘higher falsetto feel’ than usual?

Yup. He’s singing in F major here, compared to A major in the show - a drop of 2 tones! I wonder why. Perhaps his falsetto doesn’t live up to much. A bit like his Javert...

I remember being unmoved by this at the time. It’s like his ‘Gethsemane’; perfectly serviceable but not as written and nowhere near as thrilling as being sung to score. I didn’t mind his Javert...
