Wonder how many devices Dawn and her Nan are refreshing between them?

Waited 9 minutes to get in, managed a Row R for £77.50. I got in on another browser too, pressing F5 and odd seats in the stalls keep coming back up, probably as people are timed out (usually the £127.50 tickets), but happy with what I have.
Note it's a bum on seats by 6.45 and start at 7pm.

Have a feeling the lottery system might prioritise members- also had 2 browsers open, 1 on a normal queue and the other joined 5 mins later after remembering to log onto the "members area"- the latter queue moved much faster for me
Grand circle restricted view here we go!

Dawn had all 7 of her nail technicians tapping away on their phones and had Ken on the ipad and his PC. Throw £250 at anything and you tend to do ok...she’s sat within sniffing distance of Boe’s balls...😷...sorry Boe and Balls.

Wow! A little bit excessive... sounds like this fan has kept the show open all these years.

Ah, I have indeed heard of them, but had no idea they were the subject of a documentary. I remember speaking to them - or at least to Joanne - back in the '90s through one of the Les Mis or Phantom email forums. She was lovely.

I just had a small ‘incident’ at the thought of being made to watch ‘Cats’ 120 times. It’s ok, Dr Goldfarb has talked me through it and I think I’m back on an even keel.

Finally got to see this last night and it was worth the wait. Really enjoyed the staging, lighting and hearing the score performed by a large orchestra. The volume of "noise" created by the cast was just amazing. Ball and Boe didn't disappoint either. As to the rest of the cast the 3 performances that stood out for me were Shan Ako as Eponine, Rob Houchen as Marius and Bradley Jaden as Enjolras. Matt Lucas and Katy Secombe as the Thenardiers were real crowd pleasers and Matt even managed to give a little nod to Little Britain when he sang the word "dust". Audience lapped it up with a standing ovation at the end of the first act and instant ovation at the end. However I do think some people in the audience (almost entirely women - sorry) felt the need to stand up at the end of most of Ball and Boes songs was a bit odd. I think they thought they were at an arena pop concert. At the end Michael Ball made a very funny speech about a collection for Children in Need complete with Pudsey bear ears. He said that there were in competition with Mary Poppins and if we took more money than them they "wouldn't be able to go and fly that bl**dy kite!" Ive now done original cast all those years back, 25th Anniversary Concert at the O2 and this one, with a few other performances in between, but will probably wait until the 40th year before another visit.
As a post note I wanted to comment on the FOH staff at the Gielgud theatre who were so helpful last night. Due to an injury I am having some walking difficulties at the moment and they were do good in letting me in early through a side door and taking me to the bar to wait until the house opened. Really good customer service.

Nefartari Thaxton is currently in Come From Away in London. Oops, didn’t know that. I was in London in July and October. Now I’m far far away. T T

My local cinemas all seem to be showing this on two screens. Selling very well.
What is strange is the huge difference in price.
Vue is £9.99 Odeon is £20.75!

Vue seem to have become much cheaper recently - I used to go to Empire every time because they were cheaper, but Vue now almost always undercut them. No idea why!

Has a new cinema entered the market? Not near me, no, and the Vue is in a Westfield shopping centre so will always get custom no matter what they charge!

I know they made their prices much more competitive and quite drastically cut them everywhere. Nice for customers, not so nice for the cinema market which has to compete.

Doesn't generally apply to the theatre screenings though. My local Vue has the £4.99 any film policy, but is still charging £23 for this.

Yes Vue films are 4.99 near me. One Odeon is 5. The other 6. Cineworld is still 10.
I can't see much future for them unless they change their prices as there are no added extras in their cinema that I can see that are worth paying double for.

Regular films are £4.99 at Manchester Vue too, but they always price the theatrical presentations at £18-£20.

From replies it seems that during post show speech to raise money for children in need a woman shouted "where's Alfie?"
JOJ apparently told her to “never speak in public again”
