Waitress looking to open Spring 2017!!
YES!!!! I'm so in love with the cast recording of this right now, hoping to see it on Broadway in a couple of weeks time.

I think the Gielgud would be perfect for Waitress but Curious Incident isn't showing any signs of slowing down.

Guess you can scrap shuffle along ever making it! It's just announced closing on Broadway. Insane when you think how much money it's bringing in but Audra must be the big draw

I wasn't expecting it to close that fast. they are so damn stupid to close it, it has amazing reviews, and yes Audra is the star and a draw, but it is a huge production, it is rare they close a show so immediately for the sake of one performer!
I sense something else may be up...

I think the Gielgud would be perfect for Waitress but Curious Incident isn't showing any signs of slowing down. Sunny Afternoon has recently announced its closure, so maybe it could go into the Harold Pinter Theatre? Or there's nothing announced for the Playhouse after An Inspector Calls?

I was thinking Harold Pinter too. Maybe Nice Fish could go there in November, for a limited period, before Waitress opens in the new year?

I just read an interview with the Menier producer, David Babani, and he said he's hopeful of a West End transfer of The Color Purple! I think this would be amazing!

I think it's unlikely, the Menier production wasn't that long ago, and no-one else is making any kind of noise about it transferring. I also think it's highly unlikely Cynthia would return. Shame though, the current Broadway production is one of the best shows I've ever seen.

At the Jeremy Jordan concert last night, he mentioned that Bonnie & Clyde was apparently being brought over to west end for next year?

Bonnie and Clyde won't get a West End theatre, it's more likely a fringe venue

I wonder what happened to Hedwig.
And I just read something today that Shuffle Along might transfer, which I find very surprising.

Still praying and hoping for Hedwig - apparently it's still going ahead, they just need to find the 'right person'

If he's hopeful, and he's the producer, then maybe? I think the Noel Coward would suit it to a tee! Maybe they thought, after the Menier version, let's take it to Broadway and see what happens and because of the success a transfer could be on the cards?

ATG tweeted a picture of After Miss Julie saying "see it before the West End does". I presume this will go into an ATG house then, maybe Duke of Yorks?

I heard an interesting rumour today, that a certain Family was in the process of finally making it across the pond for a UK tour and possibly West End run. No idea how true it is, but apparently it will be some point in 2017.
