Yes the critics seem to be all part of the marketing team of these shows. The prices too have gone up quite a bit. I do think it appeals to their target market though and that will ensure a decent run.

I think the comment relates to the fact programmes were initially printed with no understudy list. Mine definitely doesnt have one but no idea whether the new programmes have arrived yet

New programmes do have the first covers listed Not second? Nope. They are there, just not listed as such.

As in, the show does have second covers, but the only covers listed in the programme are the first covers.

Somewhat surprised at the stellar reviews. I thought the play was significantly better and that the so-so score didn't really add anything to the story.
Cast were great and that final set change is beautiful though!

Damn.... Oh well, will try for an offer of some sort. Seems some people managed to get some for £20. If not plenty of other shows willing to have my £££ next week (doing 6 or 7 in total with my dad)

Dayseats now being offered at £20 according to a user on a twitter! Checked with the box office. NOT yet official policy, sorry. I asked at the box office today, and they said there were no day seats on sale, only full price tickets available despite the fact that they had lots of unsold seats, for example at lunch time today they had over 100 unsold seats in the stalls.

Seems self-defeating but also inconsistent as there are now tickets available via TKTS, though not with a huge percentage reduction. I will try the theatre itself but then it may have to be TKTS as I definitely want to see this and should qualify for the seniors' discount, but it doesn't seem to show up online.

Agree it seems confusing I just looked on ATG website and TKTs.
TKTs have tickets on sale for Dress and Grand Circle, but not in the stalls. But when looking on the ATG webpage there are lots of unsold seats in the stalls, if there not sold why not try and sell these as well?

They were. They were on-sale, but for full-price. The show has just opened, of course they're not going to want to discount already!

I bought a discounted ticket as well. ATG use dynamic pricing which I find generally annoying, however, if you check on the day of the show the prices can change downwards. I paid about £30 for a front central stalls seat for a preview which was usually £55 - now £10 more I think.
But I agree - you need to be Sherlock Holmes these days to find the best deals and prices.
It is worrying though that a show with such great reviews and a clear target market (which I thought it had found) has so much availability. It is busier at the weekends though and hopefully if the running costs are not ridiculously high it will have a decent run.

TKTs have tickets on sale for Dress and Grand Circle, but not in the stalls. Stalls are generally easier to sell, so the box office keep them for walk-up trade. Also, if they have a smaller audience, you can close a circle, but can't close the stalls. There are well over 200 empty stalls seats for tonight and about 500 overall for tonight's performance, so they are banking on a lot of walk-up trade. Surprised that despite the reviews, known brand and GB this is so empty so soon.
