KMP and David Foster got married in London yesterday. Some nice photos online. She looked stunning. No age gap jokes for once. Also her first husband was nearly 20 years older than her so she must prefer a more mature man.

As well as falling in love with David,I truly hope she has fallen for the WE and will return rapido..she exudes true star quality....very gentle and kind at the stage door just like the imperious Kelli O’Hara last summer at the Palladium.

I truly believe that she has the potential of being an amazing musical theatre performer, and not just a B-list celebrity who stars in shows occasionally. I need Mrs KMPF back on the West End asap.

Saw this for the first time tonight and I really enjoyed it. Will post more thoughts another time. One thing about the plot, I thought it was a bit mean that . . . she renamed the diner after Joe dies and leaves it to her. Question: Was Lulu her mother’s name?

Also, I’ve never know it take so long to get in and out of a Theatre. Everything was so slow.

Ugh I at least want her to come back to do a solo show at some point if not a West End show! 😩 I’d also love to see her concentrate on MT going forward but who knows now that she’s married and probably gonna settle back in LA?! So I finally saw Waitress again with the new cast! I still enjoyed it a lot because I love the show but I think some of the chemistry and spark the show had with the OG cast has gone for me, but it always takes time for new casts to bed in. Lucie is v good, has a wonderful voice and is def a standout in the show, but for me I didn’t love her Jenna as much as other Jennas I’ve seen. She plays Jenna too cheerily for me and it felt at times like she was acting the part too much so it didn’t feel very natural. And this is obviously a personal opinion, but she doesn’t (yet) have the stage presence and star quality that Kat did on the stage. I def want to come back in a month or so because it’s always great to see the actors and characters evolving as they become more comfortable in the role. Blake I loved as Ogie, he’s great, and it was refreshing to have an Ogie who can sing lol! 😆 As for Ashley, I don’t think she was bad, and she was much better than I thought she’d be after reading some comments, but she just wasn’t great either! She’s a likeable Dawn though so I found her pretty cute. So she def wasn’t the disaster I feared she might be 👍 All in all a v enjoyable night at the pie shop as usual. Oh and i was in the stalls under the overhang so couldn’t tell if the upper circle was open or not?

KMP and her now husband do a concert show in the US so they could bring it over here. I don't know if it focuses on her work or more on the wide range of artists he has written/produced for over the years.
Still more coverage of their honeymoon on Daily Mail online. KMPF5 is now described as having a buxom bosom and a peachy derriere!

Curtain’s just come down after the Bad Idea Reprise, some technical difficulties apparently. Hope they can continue!

I genuinely went in with an open mind and wished her well, but my oh my, Ashley really can’t sing a musical theatre score to the standard required. Her acting was fine, she had some lovely moments, but the singing was dreadful. She was so out of tune during Soft Place to Land that I winced. Not good. After tonight, I feel it’s a travesty that the supremely talented Laura Baldwin has been sidelined for a celebrity who just isn’t good enough. What on earth were the producers of Waitress thinking? Shame on them.

Saw this just before KMP left but forgot to post anything... it wasn't perfect but I enjoyed it much more than I expected to! At first I was unsure about KMP but by the end of Act One she had me totally convinced. Stunning voice - SUTBM was breathtaking. David Hunter perfect as Pomatter, as was Laura Baldwin as Dawn. Marisha was funny but I have to say her diction in her solo number was terrible.
Will be very interesting to see how this does over the summer. I'm a big Lucie Jones fan and from the clips of her singing at WEL it sounds like she's also a brilliant Jenna. I'll probably head back to see her at some point, preferably once Laura is back.

I’m going with my gran next Monday and had a look at ticket sales online. It’s such a shame that it’s so empty. Hoping it fills up a good bit before next week as, at the moment, we are pretty much the only people in the dress circle!

I know I am late on the waitress wagon but I've only just seen it for the first time. It was better, funnier and more light hearted than I expected. I didn't love it but it was a perfectly entertaining evening.
I really didn't like that Jenna' s issues are fixed by the help of man around her. I would have preferred her winning money through the competition. Instead she has a highly inappropriate affair with a married man and gets money from another man. It seems it's man and luck that helps her instead of her own resolution and hard work. I preferred 9 to 5 in this respect.
The cast list screen wasn't working so I asked an usher whether the main cast was on. Her answer was "it's a good show". Hmmm...
I went on Monday and when I purchased the tickets a few days previously the dress seemed pretty empty. However it was almost full on Monday plus upper was open too.

Looks like you had Mark Willshire as u/s Cal and otherwise full principal cast, if you wanted to know.
I see your point about the men, but I'd argue that she's the one who eventually has the courage to tell Earl to get out, and the only reason Joe leaves her the money is because she's the only one who's bothered to be kind and get to know him. So yes, the money came from a man, but as a result of Jenna's own actions.

Thank you Alison, I like checking the cast when I am at home and I have such a bad memory of faces. I don't tend to recognise anyone unless I know the name. I do understand what you are saying, she definitely contributed to her own success and it was her who stepped away from abuse. I just expected a stronger outcome in the current climate when women are still regarded as the weaker sex & dependent on men. However this is just a lighthearted comedy and I enjoyed it for what it was.

I think the new cast have settled in well, I went again last night too having not been since Ashley and Blake debuted, and Blake is still on top-form, funnier than ever. Ashley seems much more confident, and they've double-tracked her big note in When He Sees Me to cover up any flaws in her vocal, which was a great choice. I was surprised at how full it was for a Monday night - upper circle open, stalls and dress circle nearly entirely full.

Sorry if this has already been asked (or answered) but do we know how long Ashley is in this over the summer? I'm going down to see it mid Aug and I'm wondering if she will still be there or if Laura will be back. Thanks!

I think this is Ashley's 4th week so if she is only doing 8 weeks then Laura should be back around 12th August. If it is only Ash's 3rd week then Laura would be due back 19th August.
