KMP's studio version of SUTBM is officially out.

It pales a little in comparison to how incredible it sounds live in the Adelphi, but it’s a really beautiful recording of the song! ❤️😭 Shame we probably ain’t gonna get a full cast recording😩

I’m going Saturday night, I think it’s going to be a great atmosphere! I went Monday night with my mum and the show and audience was amazing, it had so much energy. It def had a OGs last week feel about it. Also the embarrassment of having to sit through the Bad Idea reprise during the pineapple upside down scene with my mum WAS SO REAL! 😂😐

I’m really interested to see how the show does with the going forward with the cast changes and fingers crossed it can keep going! 🤞 😍 I think people shouldn’t underestimate the appeal that Kat McPhee has had here. She has def gained a strong British fan base, and I’ve always noticed a lot of Americans in the audience whenever I’ve been too (the couple sitting next to me on Mon were on hol from Texas and told me that they booked when they saw she was in the show). I know it’s her last night but this Sat evening approx 1,200 tix have already been sold whereas the Sat after only approx 500 tix have been sold, and the dress circle is still practically empty 😬 - I’m sure they’ll be cranking up the promo stuff for Lucie and Ashley in the coming weeks though <—— well I say that but they never really did it with the original cast so 😆

Is anyone going to Ashley’s first show and Lucie’s first official show on Monday? 

Sorry to drag it all back up again, but the marketing team for this show (both sides of the pond) never ceases to amaze me!

They've used Marisha and Laura on a poster with Shoshana Bean photoshopped in as Jenna, to advertise a deal for it on Broadway currently! Couldn't write it!

Does anyone know if it’s the London band accompanying KMP on the single. Or is it lifted from something already recorded?

Marisha even posted it in an instagram story. I really hope it's a random thing, unlike Lucie's billboard pics.

(The only surprising thing about this is the $10 ticket, I really hope it doesn't indicate that it will close soon)

it'll likely just be online marketing. They've done this offer quite a few times, so doesn't have any indication of closing, just indication of them wanting to shift more tickets over the quiet months.

Not sure if this has already been posted somewhere but Ashley Roberts was on tonight. Some bits great, some not so much, but ultimately it seems like a pretty big miscast.

I really love that you reviewed someone you didn't see and came to the conclusion that they were miscast, but were generous enough to admit that they were great in some parts 😂

In other news, Ashley (the real one) posted an Instagram story from rehearsals and Blake actually sounds really good. His vocals might surprise us...

Laura will be back in 8 weeks according to tonight's speeches.

I was there this evening too and wow that was insane! The show was sold out and the atmosphere was incredible. Some highlights:

- Laura got huge applause after her big solo and got a partial standing o (I was in the stalls, row E) and she got really emotional!

- A dude sneezed during Laura and Jacks scene after Jack’s solo, and Laura completely broke and it literally stopped the show for what seemed like minutes because she couldn’t stop laughing and couldn’t compose herself for ages! 🤣 Which set Jack off laughing too and it ended up a big amazing mess lol! 

- Jack milked his hot coffee scene like never before, ad libbing stuff like “that coffee is hot! As if lava was set on fire and shot into the sun” 😆 

- She Used To Be Mine was amazing and Kat got a full standing o from the entire stalls (and it sounds like the other tiers too) and the applause just kept going and going until eventually Kat had to start the contraction ballet or we might still be there now lol. By far the most emotional I’ve seen her sing the song. 

- Curtain call was lovely - David gave a speech and shoutouts to Jack, Laura and Kat. He said Laura is milking it because she’s back in 8 weeks lol! Then he joked how when he heard Kat was coming over to play Jenna he thought she was gonna be a diva bitch but she was nothing of the kind and was wonderful and sillier and funnier than all of them. Kat gave a bit of a speech too and said the biggest gift anyone could give her was to keep going to see the show and telling all their friends about it so it can keep running because it’s a wonderful show she doesn’t want her castmates to be unemployed 😆

Its def a super tight cast ❤️ and I’ve been so happy to see the OGs in action 😭😍
