I think if she were to do Grease, it would be more Rizzo than Sandy.

Sarah was out when we saw the show in Cardiff last week. Her understudy Sally Peerless was on. Sally gave a really endearing performance, I really liked her. Sally was on when I saw the show in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago, too. She was very good.

I can see her as Sandy and she would certainly sell in West End. Funny as the current tour has no diversity in it.. I was really hoping she was going to be Lauren in KB for a few monthsI'm kind of upset that's not true

Wonder if grease is coming back to the west end.

What I thought too but now KB has announced new cast, Sandy does make sense and I heard somewhere it's following Annie at the Piccadilly so..

I personally don't see the big deal? This thread gets more views and we're talking about what Alexandra is doing next after Sister Act

Wow. A passing mention of the show in the title of this thread. Hallelujah! I think Alexandra would make a great Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz though, d'James. Or maybe the dastardly murderer in the Mousetrap or even chief bin lid clanger in Stomp. 😜 What Alexandra is doing next is fast becoming this year's "when will Sheridan be back?!"

Bringing it back to the show?
Is it any good? I have heard so many mixed reports.
Will it make it to the west end again?

Is it going to change the face of theatre, no. But its a fun, great night out and Alexandra Burke is fantastic in the lead role in my opinion, she made the show what it was!
It is apparently looking for a West End house, even for a limited run.

Reviews aren't an indicator of success; ticket sales are, and the tour has been pretty much a sell out. Breakfast at Tiffany's (with Pixie Lott) had largely horrible reviews and it managed a limited transfer to the West End.

I can't think why they would make one.

I can't think why they would make one. Like it or not, Alexandra is pretty bankable. It's a good number of years since the London cast album.

Shows are lucky to get one recording never mind two, especially just a tour cast. Alexandra maybe bankable on tour but her recording career has hardly been steller (hence why she turned to theatre) so there is no reason to assume her name could justify the cost of a new recording.

Thanks for that. Didnt the bodyguard cast recording sell well? They did pick her over everyone, that has played that part. I guess the tour is nearly over now.

Fair point on shows sometimes not even getting one recording; for what it's worth I think AB's talent was largely squandered in a lot of the material she released as a pop artist. Well it seems you're right that they aren't doing a cast album at this rate anyways!

You do have to remember though, the UK Cast Recording wasn't just a recording of the touring cast, it is the first ever Cast Recording of the show. So it would of sold well regardless anyway, because it was the first ever Cast Recording for the show.
