Have booked for Sunderland in a few weeks time so I will report back after that.
Loved the London production so have high hopes for this.

Interesting pics. The nuns look like they're having fun. Alexandra suits the outfit but it looks a bit big or something - can't put my finger on it.

Production shots have been released! Set looks quite good to be honest No expense spared if the nun's crosses are anything to go by. My friend supplied them - the genuine article. No wooden tac pinted silver.

Thanks. Looks interesting, can't see much of the set. I don't like the costumes when Alexandra is not wearing the habit, but that's just my taste.

Have a listen to this - frightens me at what this is actually like! Listened to it- the guy is a Tw*t and the review is complete click bait. Who is he even? 15 years experience, I've never come across him before. Sorry for him that he didn't like the show, but personally, I don't buy the content. Notice how he wasn't bothered waiting for the press night, just wrote an 'exclusive' review...which happens to be outrageously cutting. Though evidently not that bad, since he gave it two stars and praised Alexandra to high heaven. 'The cherry on top of a turd?' He doesn't even give any of the other performances a mention. The 'new' jokes are not new at all. It's the Broadway script. He was ranting and raving on Twitter at the show interval- about how the set was cheap and CRH was 'raping' people of money with the production, but he later deleted those tweets. Commenting that there was no standing ovation when there's been one nearly every night since it opened. I haven't seen the show and I already disagree with him; the lighting and staging looks terrific to me, and certainly not cheap. I find the 'gay boys' line funny despite being one but glad to be told by him that it's homophobic. The racist nuns are not allowed to be racist because during that period of time, nobody was racist? And calling the show 'blasphemous?' Give me a break. I'm sure if God existed he or she would find it all fine and fabulous. He's also very rude on Twitter. I think I'll wait for the reviews tomorrow...

I love this show, it's score and it's characters. Just hoping it works is all...

He may have valid criticisms but I think he's got a bee in his bonnet about something and is twisting the knife as much as he can.
If it's as bad as he says, I'd be gobsmacked. No way CRH would put his name to the show he describes.
Just aware that I've been keeping an eye on Twitter and audience feedback in no way reflects his opinion. Of course Twitter is a microcosm but don't people love to bitch on Twitter post show, especially if it was as he described?!
So curious to read the reviews tomorrow and see it for myself.

Yikes. Not very professional sounding, and I don't love it when people post reviews before press night. Seems a bit selfish, like they care more about getting watches/clicks than they do about reviewing the show properly. So much like everyone else I think I'll wait until tomorrow to get a sense of what the general consensus is. Can't wait to see what the other (proper) reviews say.

I was there last night and I would give it 4 stars. The production was wonderful. The cast very talented, including playing instruments. The staging was solid and looked great. AB is fabulous. Yes her voice is lower range but I am not complaining. She is very capable of carrying the role. I had three very different people sitting with me in the front row and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. My lost star? Well the instruments mean a much fuller sound to the orchestra, but sometimes it really didn't look right. Happily go again if I could.

The Sister Act crew are off to Monaco for five nights of performances, and will start the UK tour in Leeds on 22nd. There's an EPK on the way, so we'll hear AB on some other songs then.

It's doing Manchester twice??? Yes, it's there next week too. Is it doing the Palace both times. Or is it doing the Palace this time and the Lowry next?
