I'm currently in Majorca and the temperature every day since we arrived on Monday has been about 32c when it should be mid 20s for this time of the year. Even the locals are moaning.
I don't do really hot weather.
Views are nice though.

(Seriously) you Brits cannot handle heat! It doesn't help that most British houses are designed to keep warm rather than to keep cool. Presumably those Brits who can handle the heat are the onces who go & live in Spain or the south of France. Personally if I moved anywhere for the climate I'd probably go to the Faroe Islands, where temperatures apparently rarely go above 20 degrees! |

Personally if I moved anywhere for the climate I'd probably go to the Faroe Islands, where temperatures apparently rarely go above 20 degrees! I prefer it chilly too. Autumn! Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, close bosomed thingies of the plump gourds, etc. You get my drift! I look forward to October, a damp fog and a woolly jumper. |

Heat isn't the problem for me. It is the humidity that does for me.
Dry heat not an issue. Even 40C+ in Egypt was doable.
But anything humid and hot, I get headaches and shut down

Cold and got soaked... oh well.

(Seriously) you Brits cannot handle heat! Some of us Americans (seriously) can't take heat, either. I'm from San Francisco where it seldom goes past 22. And even my modern flat (built 1997) doesn't have air-conditioning. Cold can be dealt with... with heat, after a certain point there's little you can do other than jump in a cold shower/bath. |

I think the hottest it gets is about 18! Can’t believe 2 weeks ago I was all wrapped up in a big coat in 8 degrees C and today I’ve been in a sundress sweltering at 28! Just 1000 miles apart! |

It’s beautiful! Like, jaw-droppingly stunning. The only drawbacks are it’s cold, and it’s expensive. You can mitigate the cold thing by dressing properly! And indoor spaces are always toasty warm cos the heating is geothermal and practically free. The expensive part….can’t get around that sadly just try and have a decent wedge of spending money if you go! I saved for months before I went! Every time people ask me why I keep going to Iceland I feel like clara in doctor who explaining to Danny why she travels with the doctor “because I see wonders”. Bonus clickbait points for Sky News with "Temperatures could hit 40C for first time in UK". The article goes on to explain that they won't.
I have mixed feelings about the heat. On the one hand, it's already too warm for me. On the other, if I'm hungry there are freshly-cooked pigeons falling out of the sky.

Seriously considering not going to my Proms concert on Sunday. The thought of travelling across London on public transport and then the quite lengthy walk to the RAH in 34c is actually making me quite stressed already.

I was supposed to be going to Bradford today. I've nothing against Bradford, per se, but I really wasn't looking forward to it in this weather. Thankfully, the decision was taken out of my hands, so I've been able to spend all day indoors, with regular access to two industrial fridges. It's always good to have options!
On Saturday, I was talking to a Swedish football supporter, who said he lived above the Arctic Circle. In the depth of winter it's -40 degrees, and in the height of summer it can be +30, with 10 days when the sun never rises, and 40 when it never sets.

Many years ago I was in Murmansk which is above the artic circle in January. It was -40c and dark for 24 hours. You couldn't stay outside for more than about 15 mins. Breath froze to your lips and we went tabagoning. I fell off into the snow and my jeans froze solid instantly. But it was amazing and I got to see the northern lights. |

I’d have thought the lion king, head dresses are bad enough any time but must be worse in the heat.
I’ve ordered new work clothes so I can go into the office more days a week for the air con. It was a delightful relief today.

The Kent coast was glorious today, just the right amount of breeze and late afternoon cloud cover. What are the worst shows for casts to be doing in this heat? Six is all bright lights and heavily jewelled black costumes, with no interval and most of the cast don't leave the stage. I doubt Elphaba's black dress or the period suits of Les Mis and Phantom are much fun in this weather either! |

Six is all bright lights and heavily jewelled black costumes, with no interval and most of the cast don't leave the stage. I doubt Elphaba's black dress or the period suits of Les Mis and Phantom are much fun in this weather either! The Six outfits vary slightly from Queen to Queen so some may be worse than others. I'd have thought they would be designed almost like a popstars stage outfits which sometimes rather strange often have to practical to move and dance in. |

What are the worst shows for casts to be doing in this heat? I was at Punchdrunk’s The Burnt City this weekend and the whole venue is like a sauna. Considering it’s a three hour, non stop performance with a lot of moving around / dancing I imagine that one is amongst the worst to do in this weather. |
