Best case is cast change as planned early September so new leads for the 10th.
Likely case is EH/SS extend a month to do the 10th then cast change is October.
Worst case is no cast change and they just extend for another year!

They won't extend for another year - they just can't lol I made the same mistake last year and booked tickets for cast-not-change well before they announced no-one was actually leaving. Won't be making that mistake a second time and wait for a proper announcement. Bul I think it's more likely that I'll be giving this year's cast change a complete miss and rather try seeing the new cast's first show.

Nat A has been more consistent, something tells me she unwell again She sounded hoarse at yesterday's matinee. She wasn't very strong vocally either.

Laura was fantastic when I saw her first performance. Total breath of fresh air.

Well done to Natalie for trying .. Elphaba is a massive sing and everyone is ill at the moment. Sometimes a singer doesn't know at 11am if she's able to do a show or not so to come in and try says a lot. Emma too... It's a tough role! And of course Laura was a breath of fresh air, she's had rest time vocally!

Still 7 months till cast change, sigh . What makes you think there'll be a cast change? I'm not that confident and expect the worst in form of an announcement that Emma and Savannah will continue in their respective roles and lead the cast to the show's tenth anniversary. A casting call has gone out for all roles so hopefully there will be new leads this year.

I have a question guys. For those of you who saw Hayley Gallivan when she was s/b in London what did you think of her in terms of vocals and acting?

I saw Hayley once, and by chance it was also her final performance as Elphaba and she really went all out. She was riffing and really going for the belts in the songs and has gone up as one of my top three Elphabas!

Hayley was my first Elphaba and I loved her. Admittedly she definitely didn't have the strongest vocals (at least not at the performance I saw) but I absolutely loved her. Especially her Wizard And I! Don't remember much about her acting but thought she was fine I guess, as I don't remember thinking anything negative.

I've seen Hayley four times (I think) and really enjoyed her portrayal. It's 2.5 years ago, so I don't remember any details, but she's definitely in the top half of my fave Elphie list.

Who would everyone like to see take the roles of Elphaba and Glinda? And I'm meaning actresses who haven't played them before, since I know a lot of us have firm favourites who we wish would return.

Saw Hayley once, and it was the most bored I have ever been watching Wicked. It was three years ago so my memory isn't exactly clear - I can't remember if it was Hayley, the rest of the cast, the half-empty auditorium or a combination of the three that made it so dull, but I just remember finding it horrendous.

I'll add Aaron Sidwell to the list for Fiyero too! And I'd add Amanda Coutts to the list for Elphaba

Here we go again Elphaba: Rachel John, Alice Fearn, Rachael Wooding, Sabrina Aloueche, Sam Barks, Danielle Hope, Lauren Samuels, Cynthia Erivo, Rebecca Trehearn (not quite sure if Elphaba suits her voice), Siobhan Dillon (ditto), Lily Frazer, Lauren Varnham, Faye Brookes (?) Glinda: Carly Anderson, Rosanna Hyland, Susan McFadden, Katie Hall, Emma Williams, Rosalie Craig, Lucie-Mae Sumner (?), Bronté Barbé (?), Lucie Jones It's so easy to come up with all these hugely talented ladies, but I somehow expect the producers to make a boring choice. My personal dream would be Rachel John and Rosanna Hyland and, as standbys, Sam Barks and Katie Hall.

Saw Wicked last night (first time in London since Rachel Tucker!) and was sosososososo thrilled to have Natalie M- been wanting to see her for ages. I was absolutely blown away- in my opinion she deserves to be more than 3rd in line! Stunning voice, note perfect, and a very funny Elphie with lots of small, added touches. Plus she looks so beautiful in the green!
reaaaally hope she stays on at cast change!

Danielle Hope is the same age as Carrie Hope Fletcher, so if age is an issue, that isn't gonna happen for any of them anytime soon, and if it isn't an issue, I imagine they would cast Carrie before Danielle? Though I say that, Danielle has played a leading lady before in The Sound of Music and The Wizard of Oz, but Elphaba is a different ballgame vocally. Danielle could be Nessa! How great would it be to have both Danielle Hope and Daniel Hope playing Nessa and Boq together!

Michael, I was so happy to mentioned Rosalie! I would see her if she were cast in either role but I have always thought her more of an Elphaba, personally. Also loving the fact many people share my wish for Katie Hall to be cast as Glinda!
Elphaba: Samantha Barks, Rosalie Craig
Glinda: Carley Stenson, Katie Hall, Celinde Schoenmaker
I want to put Laura Michelle Kelly in either role, not sure which she would suit better actually.
I'm sure I'll think of more but these were a few that sprung to mind.

I always thought Katie and Rachel and Anton would be a great combo. Richard Fleeshman is a nice choice too. I'd love to hear Rosalie as Elphaba though, how fab! And lily Frazer in a couple of years!

Plus she looks so beautiful in the green! reaaaally hope she stays on at cast change! Funnily enough, I disliked her Elphaba even more than Emma's. I'd be devastated to find out she's on after having queued up for Natalie A in April and June. I've experienced this three times so far that Natalie A called in sick on short notice during Emma's holiday dates. Haven't seen Laura Emmitt, so I can't comment on her, but Natalie A is the only Elphie of the (other) three who I really enjoy. But as always: Each to their own taste, and I'm glad that you enjoyed the show Danielle Hope is the same age as Carrie Hope Fletcher, so if age is an issue, that isn't gonna happen for any of them anytime soon, and if it isn't an issue, I imagine they would cast Carrie before Danielle? How great would it be to have both Danielle Hope and Daniel Hope playing Nessa and Boq together! We've discussed this already at you-know-where, haven't we? It's not a question of age but rather of experience. While Carrie's only big(ish) role was Eponine, Danielle played Eponine as well, and she was Dorothy in Wizard of OZ, the Narrator in Joseph and Maria in The Sound of Music. Admittedly, I'm not British, but shouldn't Danielle be more widely known to the UK public than Carrie (and be it because of the Over the Rainbow programme)? What has Carrie done that Joe Public knows about (other than being the sister of her brother)? Lastly: No offence meant. You seem to be a big Carrie fan (nothing wrong with that), but I just can't see her play Elphaba yet. Maybe in a couple of years.

I wasn't quite sure either but thought she'd be more of a Glinda. However, I'm also happy to see her in either role. Same with Rebecca Trehearn (love to hear her Trehearn growl) and Siobhan Dillon - I think they'd be more of an Elphaba than a Glinda but I'm not 100% sure. Similar for Faye Brookes and Lucie-Mae Sumner. Glinda: Katie hall Celinde Schoenmaker Julie atherton I'd also love to see Julie Atherton, but I think the right time has passed for her and she is too old for Glinda now. Maybe, just maybe, it'd "work" opposite an older Elphie (as Willemijn).
