It's all finished! Mass pile on stage from original cast up to last cast just left, every Elphie & Glinda (except Idina and Helen).

Underwhelming finale to be honest. They roll called a bucketload of ex London/tour cast. Then introduced Stephen Schwartz who got an amazing reception. He gave a lovely speech and that was that. Confetti and a balloon drop after his speech. Would have thought with all the talent they'd amassed on that stage we'd have got a performance of some kind. A la Miss Saigon gala but sadly no.
Second act was great, Rachel's no good deed fantastic. A couple of amusing moments. The congratulotions sign didn't drop properly so for tangled on one side. And as the guards go off when Fiyero orders them away, one of them was a bit too vigorous with us stick and smashed one of the bulbs on the Oz mask!

Oh and there are already around 20 people at the Green Carpet/Stage Door... including the guy who puts up those illegal recordings on YouTube. Yeah, if he is known I wouldn't be surprised if he got a warning tonight. To be honest I hope someone films the curtain call and puts it on youtube. I really want to see anything special that may happen According to replies to his 'THAT DG NOTE MURDERED ME' tweet, the illegally recording YouTube guy has recorded it... |

So apparently just a speech and a balloon drop after all. We're not expecting a huge finale like at the Phantom and Les Mis 25th anniversaries, but couldn't they have prepared just one song? Not even an ensemble version of for good?

By the way guys, curtain call videos can be found in Facebook group "The Musical Theatre Appreciation Society". There was not much special about the curtain call though, but if you'd like to see it, pop over there.

I didn't see anyone filming at all until curtain call, then a few for curtain call then loads for the balloon drop. There wax a professional crew filming speaches so hopefully they'll turn up somewhere. From row x of the circle I couldn't really see who was who!
What a night! Didn't get a balloon but did rescue 2 abandoned posters. Got a few of the lovely metro wrappers from this morning too :-)
