Little tip, run! Because people who aren't even watching the show will stage door and pretty much most of the fans will run out fast to get there haha. I ran after Louise and Gina's last show and got right in front of the door at the barrier but it soon filled up and the line went well past the theatres front doors haha. Is there any exit on the sides? I'll be in stalls, row D. Oh my! Well, if it's too busy I won't stay... There are some at the sides of the stage. If you want to come right out at the stage door, go out of the exit on the right if you are looking from the back of the theatre. The exit near the ladder not the stairs haha (regarding the set!)

Um, what is a muck-up matinee? Sorry if that's a stupid question. Wicked do these shows very well and professionally and the average audience member wouldn't know anything was different. The only thing that gives it away is the hysterical shrieking at any change "oh look. They have a red flower instead of an orange one ha ha ha ha ha".

I love muck-up matinees. If it wasn't for them, I'd only see the last show and skip the penultimate.
Anyone going today and can report back, especially the muck-ups? I'm still waiting for some Alice dates (hopefully over New Year's) to finally see the new cast.

Anyway! Only 3 days left! I'm so excited about seeing Rachel for the first time ever! I think I'll go to the stage door after the show. Little tip, run! Because people who aren't even watching the show will stage door and pretty much most of the fans will run out fast to get there haha. I ran after Louise and Gina's last show and got right in front of the door at the barrier but it soon filled up and the line went well past the theatres front doors haha. There's a small chance that I'm going in Rachel's second week back. Will stage door be doable by then?

Seriously concerned about the way people seem to be so heartbroken and depressed about Emma and Savannah leaving on twitter. You can obviously tell theyre the new generation of fans who have yet to experience a cast change.
Even back when I was a serious fanboy when a cast change was happening I was excited for the new cast, not planning a funeral for the programmes of the departing cast (no one is actually doing this, shockingly).
Someone should maybe send a psychiatrist to the AV tonight.

Im not sure thats entirely correct. Savannah and Emma fans will have been around for and experienced several cast changes. Its just that their favourites have remained in the show. Perhaps the length of time theyve been there has created a stronger emotional bond and this is a real change for some of them who are in a couple of times a week or seem to be

It's like this every cast change - Twitter and the AV full of over the top fans crying about how sad they are, lmao
I'm going tonight but not sad atall - roll on Monday night !! I'm in Stalls Row C tonight, so who knows how those fans will irritate me

Just been to the matinee and had the joy of being surrounded by criers, whoop whoop girls and people shrieking hysterically every time one moved a toe slightly different to normal. It was annoying for me, and I knew why they were tittering. The rest of the audience won't have had a clue and would have just thought them to be badly behaved members of the audience thread candidates!
Thankfully, for the evening show I am well away from the front so can hopefully enjoy the show without being an unwilling extra in the "I'm the biggest fan" performances.

There's a small chance that I'm going in Rachel's second week back. Will stage door be doable by then? I jolly well hope it will be. I popped into the box office today & bought a ticket for the Saturday after next & I'd like to be able to go to the stage door to say hello to Martin Ball without being trampled underfoot by hordes of rabid Rachel Tucker fans!

I've been living under a rock as I had no idea Rachel was back! Booked last week for the end of September so thrilled if this is true - the best Elphaba I've ever seen. You really have been living under a rock !! hahah

I don't know if it has been said on here yet, but the show has now extended through November 4, 2017... and if it is still open (which I very much think it will be) it will be in the beginning of its 12th year in London!

Emma's final flight is on YouTube now, not as crazy a reaction as usual when she goes up compared to the likes of Louise/Kerry/Rachel's final performances even at the end of the song, which may go hand-in-hand with the somewhat lacking enthusiasm of this particular cast change. It could also have something to do with where the person was sat in the theatre. I'm guessing it wasn't the front of the stalls this was recorded. But it is one of her best Defying Gravity's I have heard from her anyway, she sounds fantastic! What a way to go, congratulations Emma, Savannah and the departing cast!

Found a list of matinee muck-ups on twitter for anyone who's interested So Carina was playing Glinda then? For both shows? Anywho, that's one of the few times where I'm actually happy that a cast change has finally happened. Now come on 30th January

I can't wait to hear about it, I won't be getting down to London until probably November! Suzie Mathers tweeted the other day about how incredible Rachel's voice is, can't wait to hear her sing that score again in person.

I do like Emma's voice but I've just heard her TWAI from last night and I really don't enjoy how she slides all of the place with her vocals and drags things out so she sounds out of time with the orchestra.
