Does anyone know if its possible to hand something in at the stage door of Wicked (Apollo)? It's for one of the new cast but I'm at a show that day (Monday) as well so need to leave it & dash off. Should be no problem. Just make sure it has the person's name on it and ask the stage door keeper if you can leave it there for said person to pick up.

Does Katie not get bored playing the same supporting role for so many years?! 8 shows a week - same role!! Doesn't she try and get a new role in a different show? Well she must be bored, especially as she has done it for 7 years and had her Understudy Elphaba role taken away from her. But I guess if the pay is there and no one else wants her, why not stay?
It is a shame though, for the show to keep her on. Fair enough she is talented, but not only does she look and act bored, but the roles of Nessarose and Boq are perfect roles for someone just coming out of theatre school or a young talent. So many young people are talented out there and it just seems a waste. Also, and I know I will get crap for saying it again, but it makes sense to have someone who looks young to play Nessarose as she is supposed to be the younger sister of the Elphaba.
Whoahhh I feel like these comments are going a little too far. "If nobody else wants her" - that's an incredibly inconsiderate thing to say. She was phenomenal in Sister Act, and she commits 100% legitimately to Nessa every time I've seen her (which is about 30 times) - yes, maybe there needs to be fresh blood but these comments about Katie are becoming really spiteful and need to stop. I really hope she isn't reading them because I'd feel sick if somebody said things like that about me in my job.... Remember she's human too - and from the producers perspective, a lot of people going to see Wicked won't have seen it before so they don't know that she's been there for 10 years. Not trying to rant at you personally Daniel, just think people should think before they type sometimes.

Ok I agree "if nobody else wants her" is really bad wording on my part and if anyone was offended then I apologise. But when I have seen her as Nessarose (about 13 times) she has maybe looked happy to be there once. I really enjoyed her the first time I saw her in the role (Louise and Gina year), but there was a significant change the second time I saw her after that. She just looks like she is going through the motions, never really putting anything much into it. And it frustrates me, because fair enough someone going for the first time may not notice, but if she is just going through the motions, there are so many young, fresh talents coming out of drama school etc who would be fabulous in that role and soak up the opportunity and be thrilled to be in a West End show for the first time. Fair enough, she may enjoy it still, but it doesn't come across on stage in my opinion. And these are just my opinions. If people don't agree that is fine, and I am not meaning it to sound horrible or be cruel because I genuinely not about that in my life.

I don't understand why people would camp out now? The day seats are only one per person for the Saturday show so if there's a huge queue, surely they won't all get dayseats? Why was your time?

She has a throat infection. Fingers crossed she will be back. She will be gutted to have missed shows this week.
Re comments It's not just on here, some of the comments on Twitter about some of the cast are an embarrassment. Yes, we realise you may not like some of them but you do not need to mention this continually as it sort of goes against the spirit and message of the show....

To clarify for people, I have never said anything regarding her on twitter and never would. I know you werent aiming that part at me haha, but just so people don't get confused haha. It is just fustrating thing. But hey, thats my opinion, but its ok to have a difference of opinion. This is a discussion board full of them haha!

The comments aren't particularly aimed at KRJ, more so some of the others. I just find them in very bad taste given the show is all about acceptance of others!

I completely agree, especially on a place like twitter which is one of the biggest social medias in the world and there is a fair chance they could see them!

What sort of comments are they making though? If it's about appearances and things then it's totally unacceptable. If it's about an actor's performance, I think that's perfectly allowed (although you shouldn't deliberately include the actor in the discussion).

Savannah is back tonight. Wonder how busy camping is I don't understand if people are lining up for tomorrow or Saturday? Dome poor people are going to show up for dayseats for tomorrow night, think the line is too big so will leave thinking they cant get tickets for the evening show even though some people will be there for Rachels opening. What a shame.

Very wise call by Savannah - shame that it had to happen in her last week but she's done really well to recover so quickly. I imagine a lot of die-hard fans will be up in arms about her missing the muck-up matinee though. I hope she doesn't get any rude tweets at her.

Good on Savannah looking after her health! At least she will be there for the final show. So who is going tomorrow then? And who is going to be there on Monday for Rachel's return? I sure will be!

Um, what is a muck-up matinee? Sorry if that's a stupid question. It is mainly popular at Wicked and was kinda brought up by the fans. What happens is the matinee before the final show for a cast, they will add random funny stuff into the show for the fans like stagehands running onstage, adding lyrics and changing dance routines and making eachother laugh. I don't really like the idea of it, especially with an unknowing audience member, it can really ruin the story. At least with fans at a final performance, cheering at the end of a song isn't uncommon, but messing up on purpose for the sake of the fans can ruin it.

Oh, thanks! I don't think I'd like that to be honest. And I agree, it could ruin the show for a first-time audience member.
I saw a video on YouTube where Glinda gives Elphie (Donna Vivino I believe) a pair of pink panties. Now I know why.

I think I'll go to the stage door after the show.

Yeah I'm not sure how I feel about muck-up matinees. I saw the Sister Act one on its closing day at the Palladium and when Shank (as he was then) was meant to give his henchmen a gun, he gave them silly things (maybe a banana and other fruit). I found it funny, because I knew what it was meant to be but others wouldn't get it I'm sure. Some other actors added little notes here and there as a nod to the film or changed the dances a bit which was fine.

Because people who aren't even watching the show will stage door and pretty much most of the fans will run out fast to get there haha. I ran after Louise and Gina's last show and got right in front of the door at the barrier but it soon filled up and the line went well past the theatres front doors haha.

Is there any exit on the sides? I'll be in stalls, row D. Oh my! Well, if it's too busy I won't stay...
