One of those 10... That said, I'd rather Hadestown personally. If they went back to the drawing board and sorted Orpheus out so he wasnt such a wet fish. Can we please have Martin Guerre/m. No idea if it was on the list but just sending it out to the universe

I can only talk of my experience. I was there a month ago and struggled to get a seat for the two weeks I was there. There were no offers at TKTS or Today’s Tix and I wasn’t successful with the lottery either. It was full mid week when I eventually got a seat. Maybe it was busy because it was summer holidays? My point stands if that is true. If it struggled to ignite in the UK and is struggling on Broadway then why would it come back for a second bite of the cherry? No doubt sales were strong in the more tourist heavy months of June and July, but the most recent grosses and what sales look like for the weeks ahead show a downshift. Hadestown does discount codes less even when sales are sluggish. Because they use dynamic pricing, they can easily shift prices based on demand rather than get a rep as a show that has to sell reduced tickets to fill the theater.

Announcement maybe Alongside the Nationals New Season. If Hadestown is announced alongside the Witches (providing it's a Dave Malloy score), I will literally scream for an hour.

Why in the world would it return to the National Theatre? Given the success on Broadway and on tour, surely it would deserve a proper run in the West End, especially when there's such a lack of good new shows? I love Hadestown to pieces, but I don't think a bonafide Broadway success should go into the National Theatre which receives funding to help new shows along (as it did with the first run).

The trend seems to be that because it was originally produced here at the National, a West End transfer is likely to be announced by the National theatre when a new batch of productions is announced for the Southbank theatres.

Ah, okay, that makes a lot more sense! And I think the only talk was that windbag Shaun Tossell, so I'm not holding my breath anyway, as much as it would delight me to have Hadestown on this side of the Atlantic.

No escalators at the Barbi so perhaps the Gillian Lynne?

No escalators at the Barbi so perhaps the Gillian Lynne? Gillian Lynne has Crazy For You opening after The Lehman Trilogy. It could be the Gillian Lynne but Crazy For You Ends January 2024.

“Pretty Woman” is closing in June, isn’t it? Has anything else been announced for the Savoy?

Doesn't strike me as a Savoy show. The theatre has been mostly used for light entertainment.
Gillian Lynne would be great apart from the location. And it would fit time-wise with Broadway closing and shipping the sets over.

The show is at 96% capacity here last week. i really think the discussion of it being on its last legs is extremely premature.
And I was just thinking of vacant theatres with an escalator.

Very exciting if true - but is there anything specifically that has prompted this flurry of speculation? Hopefully more than wishful thinking!

I'd probably say Savoy or Gielgud for Hadestown.
