Can't help but wish it doesn't. I found it horribly dull when I saw it at the National. Beyond a couple of pretty songs, I never have understood what all the fuss is about.

That rumour comes round from that account very frequently - I wouldn't read too much into it.

They were touring theatres pre Covid, but I strongly suspect this is now very unlikely as it's been a while since the National run and the buzz it had after the Tonys

Despite what has been said above, I really hope this happens. Life will genuinely be more satisfactory being able to see this again in London haha. My favourite show that I’ve had the chance to see.

It's starting to fizzle a little on Broadway, so if it becomes part of the Great January Exitus that always happens on Broadway after the holidays, they could ship the set with the double turntable over and open somewhere in spring.
It would definitely be a great opportunity while London is so utterly dead and devoid of new big announcements for the upcoming winter season. I booked a trip to New York specifically to see it again at the end of the month (when Lilias White takes over as Hermes) and would love for it to get another chance in London, especially since it went through another round of changes and improvements between London and Broadway.

I’ll preface this by saying I love Hadestown and saw it at the National and recently on Broadway. It’s smashing it audience wise on Broadway I think - was sold out for the two weeks I was there / but from memory it was not that well received here? I remember loads of offers on the tickets so I’m not sure it sold well? What economic sense would it make to bring it back?

Really wasn't sure but grew on me; and now I think it's one of my fave musicals. Also went to a talk with the director/composer which was very interesting.

It is doing superbly all things considered. Phantom, on the other hand, wouldn’t surprise me. Not that I’ve heard anything, it just really wouldn’t shock me at all.

It's not smashing it on Broadway right now. Ticket prices have dropped dramatically and available seats are plentiful.

Well, Starlight Express has been doing the rounds for what feels like a lifetime. I’d assume it’s that, if it’s not, then there’s more than one on that list because everyone and his dog knows how hard they’ve tried to get SE off the ground.

I can only talk of my experience. I was there a month ago and struggled to get a seat for the two weeks I was there. There were no offers at TKTS or Today’s Tix and I wasn’t successful with the lottery either. It was full mid week when I eventually got a seat. Maybe it was busy because it was summer holidays? My point stands if that is true. If it struggled to ignite in the UK and is struggling on Broadway then why would it come back for a second bite of the cherry?

They did workshop it at the OP a few years ago?

One of those 10... Hope Mill have had quite a few successful transfers albeit small but am I right in thinking Mame never made it? Seem to remember covid asserting itself around about it's movements. Wonder if Aria are planning on giving Tracie Bennett a bit more work... Cabaret has shown an appetite for depression musicals still exists.
That said, I'd rather Hadestown personally. If they went back to the drawing board and sorted Orpheus out so he wasnt such a wet fish.
