Has Hong Kong been confirmed somewhere yet? Or any other dates apart from Manila and the rumoured Birmingham?

Casting finals for town and tour were last week, so shouldn't be very long before we get some news.

Emma Hatton and Savannah Stevenson both ending their run early and taking over the tour leads. This happened to be the first sentence that I read on the page. I was just about to write a letter of disgust to my local MP when I realised it was a non-serious comment. Thanks Michael!

You're very welcome I do know it's extremely unlikely, but I can so see the press release in my mind's eye: The highly successful and dearly beloved Emma Hatton and Savannah Stevenson will directly transfer from their record breaking runs at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre to the new production of Wicked and the Bradford Alhambra and subsequently take this show abroad.

As believable as that press release sounds, it is far too coherent to be anything Wicked would put out. Let's not forget it can't be official news if random words aren't CAPITALISED and stupid non-words inserterised into sentences for no reason. THRILLIFYING news! Emma Hatton and Savannah Stevenson will conclude their CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED runs in LONDON on Saturday 18th June to ORIGINATE the roles of Elphaba and Glinda in Wicked's EXCITIFYING new Bradford production and International TOUR beginning Wednesday 20th AUGUST! From MONDAY 20th June in London, the role of Elphaba will be PORTRAYIFIED by Kerry Ellis and the role of Glinda by Sophie LINDER-Lee!

Michael, you gave me a heart attack! "alone and loveless" very accurate indeed, Wicked UK loves their capitalization of random words! I am happy to burst one bubble though, it's been (privately) confirmed none of the current London cast will be in Bradford, due to casting issues and such. I wouldn't mind seeing Emma again, but just a once off in London, not the five shows I have booked in Bradford. Regarding completely unsubstantiated speculation, I think likely candidates for Elphaba would be a former Elphaba, purely due to the producers needed knowledge of consistency (sorry Ms Andreou) so I think someone along the lines of Hayley Gallivan seem likely, or even Jemma Alexander, or perhaps even an u/s (Michelle Pentecost came back as emergency cover recently, much like Ashleigh did before being cast). Even though I wouldn't mind seeing any of these ladies, I'd love to either get some fresh blood into the role, or even get an American to come over. I'd die from happiness if they cast the likes of Emma Hunton! Also if they are going to cast an American s/b, Carla Stickler please.

Bump... The Wicked UK Twitter, which is notoriously awful from promotion and advertising of the show (especially the new tour) has just posted regarding the new tour and booking. Although this appears a normal move since the tour is coming nearer, this (to me, at least) indicates we may be getting casting news soon. Here's hoping! Edit: The announcement of casting will be made in 2-3 weeks, confirmed!

They need to finally announce the cast so that I can decide whether or not it's worth to fork out that much money to fly to Singapore. Haven't been there before, so that'd be a nice excuse (as if I needed one...) to visit the city.

Assuming we have usual 30 day rehearsal process that'll be mid-June starting, so we can't actually be that far from an announcement I would have thought? I've got three trips pencilled in but waiting for casting before I book....

However, as Singapore is much further away and it's much more expensive to get there, I really need to know whom I'll (likely) be seeing before I decide to book.

Singapore is 29th September to 16th October 2016.
Wicked Manilla opens 2 February 2017.
No other stops announced yet but definitely hope for some European dates!

what tour stops will there be in Europe? Birmingham is rumoured for 2018. Not sure if Birmingham will still be in Europe after 23rd June 2016 though.

Still be physically in Europe regardless of referendum 2. Chances are we wouldn't have formally split from the EU by 2018 anyway So yup, it still will be

I think we may get the cast announcement either this Friday or Monday of next week (two typical days for Wicked announcements) as we already know it'll be this month as well as a user called "firefingers" posting a friend of his had been cast as one of the leads on the Wicked London page, exciting stuff!

Christine Dwyer and Kara Lindsay will open the Hannover Messe with "for good" - does this mean they are the leading pair of the international tour now?

Christine Dwyer and Kara Lindsay will open the Hannover Messe with "for good" - does this mean they are the leading pair of the international tour now? I wouldn't draw that conclusion solely based on them singing For Good in Hannover. However, if it were true, I'd have to try to squeeze another trip to Bradford in - and I'd so fly down to Singapore. I love Kara Lindsay, she's fantastic and the best Glinda I've ever seen. Bit indifferent about Christine Dwyer though. Seen her three times on Broadway and while she's actually pretty good, I'd have hoped for someone else.

The Innuendo Outuendo forum cited rumors of Amy Griffiths being cast as Glinda.

The Innuendo Outuendo forum cited rumors of Amy Griffiths being cast as Glinda. Hmmm, I've never heard of her before, but I've apparently seen her in Stephen Ward. Anywho, she hasn't been with Wicked before so I'd be happy to see her And I've neither heard of that forum, too. How "bad" is it over there?

Amy has finished in Chitty today, so the dates certainly fit.

Amy has finished in Chitty today, so the dates certainly fit. But just because someone has recently finished another role doesn't necessarily mean they are going to be cast for the tour. It mean here is so much (unemployed) talent out there. If that's all what the rumour's based on...
