![]() My sister saw Jodie as Elphaba in Hong Kong a couple of weeks ago and she was REALLY impressed with her portrayal of Elphaba. I wasn't expecting the programme to be written in English, but I assume the level of English in Hong Kong is fairly good. It's nice to see that next to Jodie's name, it says "Elphaba at certain performances" There is also a high quality photo of a greenified Jodie towards the back of the programme as well!  |

I am glad Jodie is being recognised as an alternate as she does at least two performances a week, if not more! Is there any chance the picture of Jodie in green could be uploaded Jean, I'd love to see it if possible!  |

Jodie Steele was on as Elphaba for opening night in Manila (2nd February, 2017)
Alex Jordan-Mills made his Fiyero debut tonight with Natasha Ferguson on as Elphaba (3rd February, 2017)

So glad it's coming to Europe! (Although technically Istanbul is half Europe, but only just). Now all they have to do is move a bit more North-West until they reach Belgium  |

There's been a couple of tweets this week where Wendy-Lee Purdy made her Morrible debut and Alex Jordan-Mills made his Fiyero debut!
Hats off to Kim Ismay and Bradley Jaden for going this long without missing a single show... that's some stamina since the tour rehearsals kicked off last June!

The last few months of the International Tour have been cancelled. The tour will conclude (I believe) after Beijing or Guangzhou.
Zoe George posted on Facebook about being in a tequila bar and finding out she'd lost her job, and Jodie Steele posted that she was relocating permanently to the UK from July and asked if there was teaching work or similar available.

Was it selling that badly? Couldn't they secure any additional tour stops after China?

I'm not entirely sure that bad sales were to blame? Apparently the cast and crew had big issues getting their Visas for the stops they've already done (Hong Kong / Singapore) and several months back I remember Jodie saying on Instagram that getting their Visas for the next venues wasn't going too well.

That might explain that they've pulled Istanbul, but they wouldn't need visas for Zurich or any potential EU stops.
Am I assuming correctly that the new UK tour from 2018 on will happen nonetheless?
