I saw this last night and am actually quite disappointed. Perhaps it's because it is still only week 1 or I was just feeling super critical but I found the whole production quite sloppy. There were clear timing issues between the band (who just lacked energy in my opinion) and the cast as well as late entrances. I think Jackie has a phenomenal voice and the score suits her voice really well (quite rare for an actress playing Elphaba in my experience) but that was it I'm afraid. I found her portrayal of Elphaba almost non-existent and didn't come anywhere near matching her vocals. I wasn't convinced by Carly's Glinda at the beginning but she definitely warmed up into the role and won me over. She will be brilliant once she's had a few more performances under her belt. Kim Ismay is a real find in the role of Madame Morrible and has to rank as one of the best I've seen, bringing some real ferocity to the character and a really unique portrayal. I'll be interested to hear how anyone else finds it - I wish I could see it again later on in the run in Bradford to see how different it would be but alas I can not Hey Jordan! I was curious, what did you think of the other lead cast members (Bradley, Emily, Iddon, Steven, etc...

Hey Jordan! I was curious, what did you think of the other lead cast members (Bradley, Emily, Iddon, Steven, etc... I thought Bradley was well cast as Fiyero, he fits the role of the heartthrob very well and has a strong voice. However, I found him slightly wooden in places and there was a lack of chemistry between him and both witches. I was surprised to discover that Emily isn't understudying Glinda - I couldn't help but feel she would fit the part well. I thought she lacked a level of feistiness and vigour. I have to say that her and Iddon's chemistry was very cute and I totally bought their 'love' story. Iddon struggled quite a bit in 'March of the Witch Hunters' but I'm sure that has been sorted out. Emily's 'Wicked Witch of the East' was hugely underwhelming, as the climax of Nessa's story I felt it was underplayed and Emily held back far too much. For example, not enough was made out of her suddenly being able to stand for the first time or her realisation that Boq is in love with Glinda. I thought Steven was pretty average as both Dillamond and the Wizard, his 'Wonderful' was very good however.

I went last night and loved it. I don't have much to compare it to as some of you on here might, as I've only seen it once before with Rachel Tucker & Louise Dearman and that was 6 years ago now so it's hard to properly compare, but I'd say I definitely enjoyed yesterday as much, if not more than the West End show. Jacqueline Hughes has an amazingly powerful voice and I was really impressed with her performance, as I was with Carly Anderson. She made a charming and funny Glinda and I felt like she put in a lot of emotion. Bradley was great as Fiyero, he has a strong voice and fit the part well. I don't think I could really find a thing to complain about if I tried, I thought the whole cast were brilliant. I'd be tempted to go again if it wasn't as expensive.

Has Jackie been riffing a lot? I was curious to see if she would be keeping the riffs as a regular thing now, she is certainly capable!

Bradley Jayden Dancing Through Life audio is on youtube! And he sounds amazing. Definitely one of the best Fiyeros vocally, if not THE best.

Natasha Ferguson is on as Elphaba for both shows today (3rd August, 2016). Jackie is unable to go on due to food poisoning. Not sure why Jodie isn't on again!

I have kind of a double feeling about that. On the one hand this could mean someone finally records Natasha as Elphaba. But on the other hand I think Jodie will be a fantastic Elphie, so I hope she gets to go on soon as well.

Jodie must be ready to go on or else why would she have gone down to London when we were short of green girls? It all seems very strange to me!

Hmm, very true. Good job Natasha is fabulous, or at least I thought so when I saw her as Elphaba in the last tour. Audiences won't be in the least bit disappointed.

Is she confirmed to be going on as Elphaba, all that has been said so far is she is having her cover run today, as well as the other understudies.

Well at least if Jodie gets a cover run today she could go on tonight if needed!
Also probably explains why Natasha has been on if Jodie was "signed off" in the role yet!
