I love Shane Ritchie and I'm not even sorry. HERE for this and Layton. I agree. I have always had him as one of my guilty pleasures.

Can someone please clarify whether the Jamie cast change is Jan 28th or 29th? Would very much like to see Layton’s debut but every source, such as the one above, seems to offer differing dates for a cast change! According to official accounts on Instagram and Facebook it's Jan 28th. I'll be there!

I almost bought a £20 GILT ticket yesterday. So pleased I didn't now and opted for Les Miserables instead.

Oooo I hope the Apollo is ready for backlash from the gays if Michelle misses a show.

It’s shaping up to be quite a cast change, at least with the more noticeable roles. Any news on who’s coming in other than Layton and Shane?

As Hugo I presume.
Rather left field casting, but we can give him a chance.
I don't think it will have as much as a pull as Michelle on the posters but I think it will work better as far as 'star casting' goes. He's MUCH more mainstream than La Visage. RuPaul's Drag Race is at this point still very much a cult thing.

Fourth visit last night but it felt fresh with four cast members in roles I hadn’t seen them in before. Luke as Jamie was very good, I actually think played a lot camper than John Mccrae. Rebecca Mckinnis was good, but I much preferred Melissa Jacques in the role who played Margaret two month ago when I went. Melissa was on as Ray last night, proving what a versatile performer she is. Please someone cast her in a leading role! And finally, Michelle Visage. I thought she was perfect star casting for this and it’s clear many of the audience were there to see her. Sure her accent slipped quite a bit but it didn’t matter. An excellent fit.
Had great seats, row K middle stalls offered as lottery loser tickets on TodayTix for £29.50.

Nice show, but not something I'd rush back to.

Heard a rumour that the other female Ireland's got Talent judge has been offered the teacher for Jan... Denise Van Outen? Really? Hmm. I actually heard a rumour of a certain Spice Girl doing a limited run as the teacher... and no, not Victoria.

I could perhaps see her as Margaret is they're going to cast that role as the white actor (and then presumably the dad as non-white).

Took a punt with the lottery today & won so was my 3rd time at the show (always via lottery!!)
Michelle was excellent as ‘Miss Hedge’ yes the accent did slip at times but it was pretty convincing accent (who must have backpacked in the USA) but it didn’t slip in the important moments & she was great!
Realised that each time I’ve seen the show I’ve seen a different ‘Margaret’ & ‘Miss Hedge’.
Tonight I felt the emotion of ‘He’s my boy’ but a tear didn’t roll out & I thought what is wrong with me then the mum & sin moment that follows shortly really hit the emotions (such a beautiful scene!!)so yes I cried once again!!
Really good and busy Tuesday night crowd in tonight, all levels open!!
Have loved this cast but look forward to returning with a pretty much all new cast next year!!

Yeah, after all she only recently had to pull out of playing Velma in Chicago.

Finally saw this last night and I'm glad I did. It's a touching story with catchy tunes. I thought Jamie, Pritti and the mom were stars! I'm pretty good at understanding different English accents so that was not an issue. However a few times I missed the end of Jamie's sentences. People were laughing and I was like??? 😆 Anyway great show and very entertaining, definitely worth a visit.

Really? She may be too big a star for third candlestick from the left in the Northampton panto, but anything this West End of Greenland would be good for her nowadays, unless Matalan pays that well?! P.S. I am in no way talking down third candlestick from the left in any production, ever.

How interesting, on the Broadway World board, someone said they were at stage door and asked Michelle if she would do the show on Broadway, which Michelle replied its aiming for Broadway and in her contract she has first dibs if she wants to reprise. I know the Broadway World board tends to have a lot of rumours or made up stuff, but interesting to hear.

I know the Broadway World board tends to have a lot of rumours or made up stuff, but interesting to hear. Wouldn’t surprise me. I think they’d need a name if it opened on Broadway to gather buzz, Michelle would be the perfect name. She’s probably more well known in the US too and she obviously has a strong connection with the show. I’m shocked they haven’t announced cast change yet, given that the new cast are due to start in a few weeks and surely would be starting rehearsals any day now? Or is it not a complete cast change? Wonder if the DVO rumour is true

Even though I think Tamsin has projects in Australia, if DVO isn’t doing it, I’d like Tamsin back so she can have an Eastenders reunion with Shane
