Any word on a potential transfer to Broadway?

Today was apparently a Jamie first... John couldn't get through the show, Luke did Act 2!

From reports John hit his head in work of art Whilst hanging out of the toilet window I assume? That always looks like an accident waiting to happen (but I’m sure it’s safer than it appears). Hopefully he’s ok 🤞🏻.

I saw the real Jamie Campbell just yesterday at St Pancras. I'd just arrived in London from Yorkshire, and he was about to travel from London to Yorkshire.
He was wearing a light blue velour tracksuit and white 'fashion' trainers with an extra thick sole. Thankfully, he was enroute to a charity event, not a night at the theatre. 🙂

I don’t think Jamie Campbell is too concerned about conventional clothing choices.
Someone wrote a musical about it.

I must say, a velour tracksuit and white fashion trainers sounds like a much quieter outfit than the nylon raincoats and armfuls of bangles that other people think appropriate to wear to the theatre, I'd be ALL for it...

John was out yesterday night (Thursday)...
Was that scheduled because of Children in Need? Is he indisposed?
Will he be on tonight?

Luke has posted that he's performing on Children In Need - pretty sure John is still indisposed after he went off mid-way through a show at the end of last week.

Me and 2 friends are looking to catch this in a couple weeks, I can't seen to find any decent offers! Anyone seen any or have any tips on getting some?

It’s pretty dreadful. John McCrea has a nice pop voice, but his character is insufferable and his acting is pantomime at best. Lucie Shorthouse is currently the only good cast member left. Josie Walker was phenomenal, her replacement is not a scratch on her. She doesn’t even look old enough!? The ensemble mime everything from a click track. The direction is boring. The choreography is nice, but not performed with the attack and finesse it needs. Overall, it’s bad. I have no idea why everyone raves about it?

Keep watching the dynamic pricing at least a week out and be willing to sit separately. There aren’t many offers around any more. You can try the TodayTix lottery (on three phones) and you may get a second chance offer, but you’ll only get two tickets per person. Some people have had luck at the box office. I never have and again three is a difficult number for tickets.

And was massively underwhelmed by the Children in Need performance too.

I'm not here to defend this wonderful show, but I do want to point out that these televised performances aren't good representations of the shows they're trying to promote. It's on a setless vast studio stage, the music is canned and it's just totally cheesy.

Luke sounded totally out of breath during the TV performance

I loved the show and disagree with the criticism above re John’s acting. He plays the part as it’s written, his acting is perfectly fine.
The Children in Need performance was pretty weak in my view but Michelle Visage was better than I expected. I thought Luke seemed a little uncomfortable? Either way, the overall piece was not a great representation of the show.

I agree that the televised performances are pretty shoddy, but tbh; it’s Luke Bayer that is the let down. He’s not vocally strong enough for the role. John McCrea blows him out of the water. But the ensemble vocals are canned in the actual show too? If you hadn’t noticed, sorry to burst your bubble. I hate it when I see a show and some of the singing is mimed. I feel like asking for a refund. I expect everyone in a show to sing live and give it their all. If they can’t sing and dance at the same time, they either shouldn’t have got the job or the choreography should be changed, so that they are able to dance and sing at the same time. Or just don’t sing, I’d much rather watch singers sing and dancers dance. Can you tell I hate miming yet? Don’t even get me started on that high C in Phantom!...
In terms of the CIN performance, I too think Michelle was far better than I was expecting. But she’s not much a dancer, is she?

They don’t even wear mics... maybe open your eyes next time you watch a show? They only time the ensemble actually “sing” live is when they each talk-sing single lines in the Act 2 opener.

Lmao, of course they wear mics, but they're not easy to see cause, you know, they try to hide them.
Leads' mics are more visible cause they usually wear two (in case first one fails).
