And... given her following, particularly in the States and the LGBT community... this might just be the extra push this show needs to rocket its profile onto the next level.

This has made my trip at the end of October all the more appealing! I’m a huge drag race fan as are the friends I’m going with. I’m not a huge fan of Tamsin either to be honest so this a good news double whammy!

FYI - it says on the Nimax site that Michelle wont be in the show form 20 Nov - 29 Nov because of judging Ireland's Got Talent. This is probably when they tape the auditions, right?\
Just want to make everyone aware before you buy tickets in hopes of seeing her.
And its only stunt casting if she doesn't have the talent to back it up. She was in a music group and Miss Hedge only has 1 song and part of another so it's not a huge part. Perfect fpr her and she will be amazing. It also fits her brand to a T

It’s got my interest so as stunt casting goes it’s making me now want to book a ticket!

This could even open the possibility of a ru girl coming in to play Hugo/Loco Chanelle in the future. Mrs Kasha Davis/Charlie Hides?

Kinda stunned and thrilled at the news. I agree, I don't think Tamsin is that great in the show, Kirstie was much better!

I haven't seen Tamsin live in the role but I didn't really enjoy the portrayal in the live screening. I thought Kirstie was excellent when I saw it live; the fact that she was a younger woman with very conservative/backwards views made her more menacing I felt. It felt authentic.
I like Michelle Visage but I don't think I'd book again solely to see her. It is a relatively small part after all, though I'd be interested to see what her rendition of 'Work of Art' is like. She's had a varied CV recently; she was a judge on Ireland's got talent earlier in the year.

And Miss Hedge doesn't have to be from Sheffield! She could be an American teacher who just happens to work in a school.
Oooo she will rock Work of Art and that verse in Don't Even Know It.
Stage door is going to be mental!

I'd love Jordan Cunningham to play/understudy Jamie at some point. He's my favourite ensemble member, he totally caught my attention for some reason. I know he would be faaaab as Jamie. P.S. And those Instagram pics in just his underwear... 🤤 Yasssssssssss!!!

I sat row X on my first visit and row C on my second. Personally I preferred row c, yes you are looking up for the duration but it wasn’t uncomfortable. That being said you don’t miss anything from the back of stalls and thanks to the size of the theatre it doesn’t feel too distant either.
Seeing the show for the second time last night completely changed my view on the drag shop scene, I really didn’t like it back the first time I saw it but I thought it was one of the better scenes last night. Think it’s one of those scenes/songs where the actor makes or breaks it. Overall I really enjoyed the show. Was great to see Luke as Jamie, really liked his take on the role. First time seeing Shobna and Lee in their respective roles (ingoring the cinema broadcast) I really enjoyed their performances, I preferred their protrayals to those who I saw the first time I saw the show.

I saw Jamie again last night since my last visit after the show just opened, which was my second visit following previews.
Luke Bayer pretty much follows John McCrea's blueprint, but his Jamie is a bit more anxious and insecure, add more riffs (that worked in some places and didn't in others). I actually preferred Rebecca McKinnis's portrayal of the tired, worried and stressed single mother. Shuba Gulati's Ray is also quite different. Her Ray is a lot more sexy and cynical, though I didn't think her jokes didn't land as much, she still owned the stage whenever she was on. Lucie Shorthouse is better than ever before. Her vocal muscles are so powerful and at ease, and she managed to bring in new details to her performance.
Stalls not very busy, but it's a Tuesday night. I hope it picks up when Michelle takes over.
Still the best and brightest British musical in ages.

John isn't on as scheduled tonight after a week and a half holiday. Luke will be on for Jamie tonight. Which is hilarious considering he was making comments about his last time on before he becomes alternate and saying farewell to being Jamie alongside Tamsin.

Do we know when Jordan is on as Jamie? I will only pay for this again if he's on.
