I think its pretty obvious at this point Luke Bayer will become Jamie New from January, mainly because he has been developing a fanbase of his own, he is constantly doing gigs and being promoted, as well as perfoming at West End Live. And with him becoming the Alternate for Jamie from October, I imagine it is a dry run for him in preparation for him to take over come January, kinda like Marisha in Dreamgirls. I wanna see him so I'd like to see him take over the role personally.

I've noticed row C seats in the stalls have been reduced down to/gone on sale for £25 for all shows this week, is this standard practice for shows currently or is it just this week? I'm planning on seeing the show soon but I'll hold off booking if those seats are likely to appear at that price

I'd love Jordan Cunningham to play/understudy Jamie at some point.
He's my favourite ensemble member, he totally caught my attention for some reason. I know he would be faaaab as Jamie.
P.S. And those Instagram pics in just his underwear... 🤤

Rumours are flying around that John McCrea's contract ends sometime in January for Jamie. I wonder if there will be a cast change around then? From what I heard a few months back, a new Jamie was going in. Someone not in the current cast but that could’ve easily changed. Shows normally do cast changes around a year after they have opened

Those row c seats appeared at £25 for this coming Monday so I’ve booked myself one. Looking forward to seeing Luke as Jamie. Haven’t seen the show since January (I did see the cinema broadcast but I’m not counting that) so I’m looking forward to seeing the new cast members and just the show in general.

First row is the four day seats (at the theatre - where you need to be in the queue hours before the box office opens) and the rest through the TodayTix lottery. I've looked a few times for the £25 second row (row C) tickets, but haven't spotted them yet. Most of the time, they're much more expensive.

Not seen any for this week, but maybe they went quickly. Great if they're available at that price online. The 2nd row is a much better view than the front row (due to the height of the stage).

Dr Tom they were available for all performances I looked at this week (mon-fri) when I looked a few days ago. Seems they are being put online close to the performance date at the cheaper price.

It’s interesting that they’ve gone the stunt casting route,

MV is a huge musicals fan from what I recall and can certainly sing. No idea as to her stage acting experience.
But as stunt castings go, it does sort of work for me. It might backfire horribly - but it will certainly get a lot of attention

From what she’s said on the WTT podcast she is constantly auditioning in the US. Never had a gig on broadway though, not even in a minor role.

I really don't rate Tamsin in this role, sorry... so I'm happy enough it's being shaken up. Her attempt at a Sheffield accent can't be much better than anything MV will attempt!
I had in my head that MV had done a little stint as Mamma Morton on Bway, but obviously not. She just seems the type that would have by now!
I think she'll give it her all and absolutely work her rear off - you can just tell she's dying to do something like this, and will relish it, and will be a respectful/generous company member (that's the vibe I get anyway), and it comes across that she has a deference for live theatre, the West End and this show.
So good on her!
